I buy the cheap stuff, and every 3 or 4 tanks I put in a container of dry gas, sometimes STP if it's on sale.

3.49 in Carlisle on Saturday, how on earth does this happen. 30 miles down the road a $0.35+ difference. Just disgraceful.....I want $.98 Cents a gallon back like it was when I started driving. And before people call me old that was in 1999. How far we have come.....

I was in Carlisle today and paid 3.55, I thought it was a bargain. Hope that doesn't mean it went up 6 cents since Saturday. The closer I got to Chambersburg, the more it went up.

What I don't understand is how it can be $3.45 in Carlisle and in Shippensburg it is still $3.75...it doesn't take that extra .30 cents to get it to Ship from Carlisle. I just don't understand. It just doesn't make any sense. If I lived closer to Carlisle, I would go there and fill up my tank! Because to some of us,$3.00 is $3.00 that we can buy groceries with.

I guess people are driving less.
But it sure doesn't seem that way, judging by the amount of traffic.

I think they are driving less, but only at certain times and certain places. This past weekend, a friend and I went to Maryland, going down, we were both very surprized at 'how light the triffic is'. Going home,(north) when we got close to Frederick, the traffic going south was crawling bumper to bumper, till almost Hagerstown.

We, the gas consumers of franklin county are getting ripped off. I work in the Mechanicsburg area and live in Chambersburg. I will not and do not support the gas stations in chambersburg due to the .30 to.40 cent difference in price and the quality of the gas. Even if I didn't work in that area it would be worth my while to drive the 32 miles to fill up. It's crazy.

You know that's really strange, Mechanicsburg and Shippensburg get cheaper gas. What is that all about?

profitting of poor consumers, since it is a neccessity to fill up to get to work and pay the bills. Since it is neccessity to fill to up it should be not taxed. just like many other things that are neccessary in pa that is not taxed. just an example toilet paper, and toothpaste.

I can understand making a profit but today in carlise the cost of the cheapest gas was 3.37 a gallon. At sheetz, Norland it was 3.69. The PO was tracking gas prices for Chambersbur, maybe they should but a comparision of other counties on their main website to let the consumer know how the resident's of Franklin county are being ripped off.
