Former Roane County resident in federal custody

After discovering this post I thought I would read ALL the posts before commenting myself (It took me TWO WEEKS!).....Thanks Omega for some of the only unbiased info.
From everything I've gathered ,after detailed reading...
1. Others were supposed there when Faye died, yet none have not spoken up on here or even through another poster.
2. Everyone "saw this coming" ...how prophetic,..in hindsight.
3. No one understands what that read line means when they type wrds .
4. The "family" (both sides)likes to bitch at each other.(though I do believe Stormy has the BEST of intentions. It's harder to stick your foot in your mouth if its not always open.)
5. No other bodies have been found.(with the possible exception of Boone , but certainly not 12-14 in barrels)
6. It took less time to "build a case" against John Gotti than a small time redneck pusher.
7. Everyone who "saw this coming" was "too scared". What,only Daniel was allowed to own a gun ?
what about Second Amendment? If "scared of Daniel" why not pull out your own gun and use it in 'self defense.
8. People like to defame others by throwing random names around on here.

Ya know what? You have said absolutely nothing here. I don't think anyone ask you anything and we have enough opinions on here, so you can keep yours to your self. If you think for a minute, you may come up with something to say that is useful, you reckon??

Information alone is not enough to arrest someone on. Law enforcement has to be able to prove the accusations against someone. Once he got discovery and identified the informant who was willing to turn him in Daniel and at least one of his hench men went out and found that person and attacked them. As much as the TV generation likes to believe that the police can do whatever they want without evidence or proof that just isn't the case.

And you realize that this case that Daniel is sitting behind bars for (drug not murder) is a case prepared by the Roane County Sheriff's Office don't you? Yes, it was a cooperative effort with the ATF and other agencies but Roane County (under new leadership) took the initiative to deal with Daniel. In fact that is what led to Daniel moving to Rhea County because he knew he wasn't going to be able to get away with things even using his bullying tactics and electronic surveillance. It is ashame that Daniel was allowed to go on as long as he was but to blame all of Roane County law enforcement for that is simply short-sighted and not fair to the people who weren't afraid of Daniel and did make sure he couldn't continue. It was have been great if he could have been arrested before Faye was killed but sadly he wasn't and no amount of blaming law enforcement can change that fact. Maybe there is some blame to be placed but not only with previous law enforcement efforts but also all of those friends, family and others who also did nothing or at least not enough to save Faye.

What The Truth said is true. Being someone in the family, I can verify this as the whole truth. He was repeated reported to the old administration, but they would always say, yep that's Daniel for ya, and do nothing. You could tell them when and where and....NOTHING would happen. They didn't want to get him. Not until Jack stepped into the picture did things actually start to change. He did move because he knew that his days were number here in Roane County.
I just wish that Faye could have taken care of the problem herself, and be here to tell her story of how she survived the abuse of a drug dealing wife beater and how she overcame fear and defended herself. Maybe it would have been his funeral instead of hers.
Daniel was my kin. I say, "was", because he has been dead to a lot of the family for some time now, due to his lack of good judgment and moral character. We tried to talk to him, but he didn't want to hear it. He would say, if you don't like what I'm doing, just stay away from me or look the other way. So we did, but we didn't have any dealing with him at all either. He put a wall up within family members and more or less split the family apart by its binding roots. Sad, sad, sad.
Stormy I feel so bad for Faye's family (you have no idea how bad), and I can say for the most part of our family (that is decent) that we are so terribly sorry, but I know that won't bring her back. But know that not all of his kin are like him, and that we did not approve of his treatment of Faye or all of his other wives. Luckily they escaped with their lives. Please remember that our hearts broke that day too that we received the news about Faye. There were many tears shed for her and those children. Please know that Daniel will one day face his maker, and he will have to live until that day, with the knowledge of what he has done to her and to his own children,(if the monster even has a conscious).
I know that you are hurt and mad, and nobody blames you for that.

Thank you, Family Member. I realize that all of his family did not agree with his daily life and we do not blame you at all. He is totally responsible for what he did. There are a few close family members, that I do blame as much as him because they helped him. I do wish that Faye could testify against him, but it would be so traumatic for her, she couldn't do it, but we will be there for her.
I will never understand why, if Roane Co had initally began the case, why was it allowed to go as far as it did? Why was he allowed to move? Why when "I" called them to go to her, that he had beat her unmerciful--did they say she had no signs of bruising on her, she had just called me and stated how badly her face looked. No, I can't just stop wondering "why"...

I can't answer all of your questions but I can shed some light on some. The case was allowed to go as far as it did because the investigators had to collect enough evidence to insure a conviction. The last thing they wanted to see happen was Daniel get out of trouble again because they weren't methodical and thorough. Daniel was allowed to move because there wasn't enough on him at the time that he did move to insure his conviction. I think it should be noted that Roane County could have easily said "well he's not our problem anymore" but they didn't and continued the investigation. As for Faye's injuries I can't answer that. I would need to know exactly when that happened and I would gladly research the situation to see what happened but if you didn't see the injuries yourself then it may have been that she denied any abuse when officers spoke to her and absent a cooperative victim alot of times officers can't do much in situations like that. That is just speculation on my part since I don't know the particular incident you are referring to.

The trial is still set for September and appears to be on-schedule from what I have been told.

Finally, the Fed Trial should begin next month. Who all is going to be able to go to this trial? Will probably last a few days, if not longer. Will certainly be glad when it is over and they can schedule the Murder Trial.
