The original story is that a Black man raped a white woman way, way back in the day. They hanged him on that hill. The old story is that when the moon was full you could look a certain way up through the trees and see a figure (him) hanging there. The trees have been cut and the land mined etc... since those days though.

It's up the left fork of Stinson rd . The hill past campbells old paylake. It's not in greenup.

Your story is the same one told to me many times over the last 30years. They hung him by his galluses. I also heard he was innocent, but because he was black, he got the blame. So sad, if this is true. But, it is a very spookey place to be at late at night. It is up the left hand fork of Stinson, past the old pay lake at the top of the hill on the left. Thats where I was always told it took place.
