I have tried the patches and gum bla bla bla and it does not work. I wish scientists would make something like the noraplant(it's a birth control device that is inserted in the arm for five years that releases a chemical)to where if we smoked we would start vomiting or something. I think they should make one for drug users and alcholics as well. I know that would help people out greatly, because I think alot of people are imbarrassed of thier addictions and would rather not have them. I definately think if they didn't have thier addictions they would save alot of money. I wonder why (since smoking is soooo awful) the government doesn't just have prohabition. Don't allow the companies to make them. Obama is changing everything else, why not.

Non-Smoker wrote: I saw that report on the news this morning about the images being applied to cig packages. I don't think the majority of smokers will pay them any attention. I have asthma and a severe allergy to cig smoke. As a non-smoker I could care less how much you smoke. I just do not want to breath it in stores or restaurants. I also do not appreciate it when you stand right beside the entry ways smoking so that I am forced to walk through it to get inside. Are you so addicted you cannot wait to get to your car to light up? Maybe those people are going in not coming out. Possibly you could talk to the store owners and ask them to move the ashtrays to a different location.

i can respect your opinion but there are some of us smokers who will respect your allergies, athsma, and predjudices. we may be smokers but we are people too, and when you disrespect us by calling us names such as moron we don't want to respect you.for instance i always ask if a person minds if i light up. depending on what that person says i do or do not. When the government and people intrude on my choices even when i have constitutional rights, i take it as blatant disrepect.Another thing i have just read on another websites post, was a completely non-conected and utterly irrelevant connection that apparently most of us dont have hs diplomas. personally I would apreciate one connection to ciggarettes making kids choose to drop out. I personally have chosen to obtain my hs diploma. thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

They are making money and it is going to cost more to put stupid things on the packs and it will not do any good. Come on they raise the prices and we still do it what will a picture make any difference. It is our rights to smoke if we want to smoke we will smoke there are no laws saying dont smoke. Why do they not put pictures on beer and stuff showing what it is doing to their liver and stomach? Why do they not put pics on pill bottles to show the damage all that stuff is doing? This government is messed up and we have to deal with it. Like marajuana, no one had od from that and they wont make it legal, but you have had people to get poisioned from whiskey and what not, and they have died, and as for the pill situation we all know tha, so LEAVE US ALONE IF WE WANT TO SMOKE whether it be cigs or pot. At least the pot is all natural it comes from the earth. If they would stop putting chemicals in tobacco, it would be natural also there have been people that have smoked for years and never died til they were 100. So give it a rest. POT should be legal for there has NOT EVER even been 1 person die or od from pot.Pot also CURES most types of cancer but there is no money in cureing no one. They make too much money off treating you for cancer then you just die a littel slower. Its all about the money for the goverment dont give a rats ass for no one but MONEY.

My rights don't affect your health. My rights don't interfere with your right to breathe. My rights don't make your clothes stink. My rights don't kill you "second hand"
