Truthfully I don't know that you ever will if you really loved him but it will get easier with time , and I'm speaking from experience , even now years later I know there has only been one person that I've ever loved and I still have days that are hard but for the most part I do fine , once I realized he was going on with his life and could care less about how hard this was for me I figured what the hell , why should I spend every moment thinking about him when he never gave me a moments thought , I started trying to put my life back together and it gets easier every day , I'm a lil bit colder now and a lot wiser but you will get through it and who knows maybe there is someone out there that when you meet them you will never give this guy another thought at least that's what I'm hopeing for !

it has been a few months since the split, so i dont think he is going to change his mind, should i get rid of everything that reminds me of us? i need to hear about some things that has helped you guys in the past, I dont wanna be all caught up in him anymore. I just need to know how to stop thinking about him.

Just go out and do things that make you feel good about yourself , things that you enjoy doing , I made the mistake of holding on to something that was never there to start with and was miserable for a very long time even though I was doing things and hanging out with friends he was always there in the back of my mind so hanging out was as far as it ever went until just recently I got tired of feeling this way and said to hell with it and I have to say I wish I had done it a lot sooner so yes get rid of everything all the way down to his cell number and don't give him the pleasure of knowing that your hurt because I think they get some sick twisted pleasure from it and look at this way it's his loss and there are lots of guys out there that will gladly take his place and just stay positive and you will be fine .

sounds like you want to sit and self-pity yourself.... go after what you want! if you love the guy like you say, you would make every last attempt to be with him. to me... but then again some hearts arent strong enough and for some people (weak) its easier to give up and cry about it then fight for what they want. I agree with what someone said... you call him. you go to his house, etc...everything and anything!! because if the love is there for you like that, then there's no way he can be over you to avoid you... just saying!! but again you can give up. but sometimes all it takes is just getting over a wall either he or you built. find out if its worth it soon enough. everyone builds walls. so make a choice and tear the crap down or turn around walk away and burn everything! either or life goes on. just not as good as it could be sometimes!! my opinion....

How old are you? Was it a marriage or a dating relationship?
You won't stop thinking about him until you start thinking about another.
