Sonny Fankell needs to go the same as wallace & the others. People sure expected better out of him ! And Greenhill

I agree he needs to go, what I don't understand is why anyone would have expected better of him. I have known Sonny Fankell all my life, he has always been for one person and one person only, SONNY FANKELL!!!!!

You people are so stupid it's sicking. You will never undo the Wallace political machine, he obviously is more intelligent them the commoners of Carter County. He managed to get all the old magistrates voted out and not one Republican has the balls to run against him. omg how about just go down to the jail and get rid of the 5 or 6 butt suckers and then rw will have to do his job and they might cut him a break he has brought this all on his self and sonny is my magistrate and i am for it go sonny charlie and ronnie and rowe its about time the the get the rug pulled out from under them ..and we all know who is starting these posts

You want to give Boyd County rejects control of the jail ???

So basically, what I can gather from reading topix, Facebook, and listening to the radio and reading the big Grayson paper is that anyone who opposes the jailer should go. Even the Ashland paper said they thought both counties should get rid of the position of jailer, just didn't sound like they agreed with the way Charlie and the Boyd judge was going about it.

The Ashland Paper did not agree with the regional jail I am not sure where you heard that but I suggest you go read it yourself. It said they agreed with it back in the 80's before everyone built new jails as a way to up grade the run down jails. If you recall at that time are jail was that old stone building behind the courthouse.

there will be a board of directors running the carter co jail- 3 from boyd co and 2 from carter, Our jailer will not be on the board. not another lie!

Yes everybody makes mistakes, kids are kids there was a 2 year old that someone found.Mom and dad are in jail.kids can get away from parents easy someone found a 2 year old and took to the police station.Why didn't this person just go door to door instead taking to police station .

Frankly, we would like to see the elected office of jailer eliminated and fiscal courts be given clear authority to operate the jails.

Fiscal courts can't even take care of the business they're supposed to do now. If they could do anything they'd have the jail as well as the roads and all else in better shape. They're a joke.

You can't get rid of the jailer. It is a constitutional position required by the state. You can get rid of the jail, but you still have to elect and PAY a jailer whether you use him or not!

People are really surprised at Rowe for being like that.

He don't need to go....he needs to vote "NO"!! and stand up for whats right for Carter Co.! I always liked Sonny....my gradson wore one of his shirts proudly during election....and now I'm ashamed to let him put it on!!!!
