Frostburg Community Mourns Death of Kortneigh McCoy

"Liggins maintains her story that three men inside the house attacked her shortly before stabbing McCoy, even with four witnesses seeing a kitchen knife in her hand before, during and after the stabbing."

It is surely possible that Ms. Liggins is telling the truth, and that she armed herself with the kitchen knife because she saw the violent turn that events were about to take.
The question is: was there blood on the knife that she had "in her hand before, during and after the stabbing"? And if so, did that blood belong to Ms. McCoy?

This is the second violent murder at Frostburg State University in less than two years—and what the Afro story does not disclose is that both of them occurred at off-campus parties hosted, and largely attended by, African–American students.
It is a thing wondrous pitiful and passing strange to me that not one single black advocacy group—either of the left, right or middle—has had either the interest or the temerity to spotlight that odd and undeniable fact and sought to launch a deep soul-searching investigation within and among the black student community in Frostburg in a good-faith effort to find out why.

(It should be noted in this context that Frostburg State University is a place where one member of the administration who likes to put herself forward as “a coalition builder,” and who regularly deals with black students, routinely counsels them to avoid attending parties hosted by white fraternities because—and I paraphrase—they “may get beaten up there.”)

According to the latest reports released by the FBI,

between the years of 2005 and 2008 there were 174 murders at institutions of higher learning,

with 82 of those murders ...
