I have read complaints concerning Mammy's Country Kitchen on another discussion line. I would recommend that before anyone believes anything either myself or the other poster has to say about Mammy's, go see for yourself! I personally find the food good, the prices fairly cheap compared to other resteraunts around here, and the portions more than adequate. Thank you to the staff and owner at Mammy's Country Kitchen for the selections that you offer us customers and the great service as well. GOD BLESS YOU!

Undoubtedly your palate is dead, or you're the owner, or friend of Mammy's Country Kitchen trying to drum up business. I'll give it to the end of '12 to be out of business. The Snack Bar in Hickory is just as bad. The worst of them all is Tia's.

Mammy's has been on the decline for many years now. Prices go up, quality down and portions go down. Al’s *I’ve heard that they’ve gotten better* but I haven’t been there in years either. I have been to Steven’s once or twice and really I am not too impressed. I try to support small business especially the Mom and Pop Diners when I eat out, which given isn’t often. The few we have in Granite are just sad and seriously need help. As far as Tia’s they got bought out by people who know nothing about Thai.

The place needs a good cleaning and the tables are sticky. I saw a waitress clean the table off with a rag and then clean the seat where peoples' butts were- gross. Their grade is 90 and it seems like they don't try to make it any better.

The food is terrible and the sanitation is scary. wouldn't eat there again even if it were free.(exact grammar too!) Takes real effort to make such a poor health score.

I was a breakfast regular last time about 3 years. Tried that other place up across from CVS too many spaced out thugs, cons, offenders working and in and out of there. Where is a decent place to eat locally? Considering food, sanitation, prices, friendly service, staff not fighting & quiting.

The best time to go to Mammy's is in the afternoon, when the owner/ co-owner aren't cooking and their other cook is there and they're awesome. Even better, end "aren't cooking." with a period. then : At that time, their other cook is there and they're awesome.

Yes, most people would have put ,"if it was." My sister corrected me years ago when she said, "when you have if or wish, use were, not was. Examples: I wish I were.... If I were..... Now everyone please improve your grammer as Grossed Out and I have taught you. And....Pleeeeaaase don't say , "I seen him." You shouldn't use words such as SEEN, BEEN OR DONE, without have or has. Class is over. Go home. ha ha ha ha ha ha

So go on with your pathetic life, little man. I'm sitting here, smiling at your ignorance. Okay...I've played with you enough. Over and out !! I'm headed to Texas Roadhouse for a steak and some ribs. Well, shouldn't we all just bow down to you? Actually, I noticed a couple of things wrong with your post, too. QUOTING YOU: "Waiting on your "on the dole, working the system)" ME: No way that is correct. Where is your OTHER parenthesis? QUOTING YOU: "Puffing" ME: This should not have been capitalized, as it was following a comma, and was not a proper noun or the beginning of a sentence. QUOTING YOU: "brain dead" ME: This should have been hyphenated. QUOTING YOU: "You're in the 'Dumbing down of America' group, sonny boy" ME: Now, we will over-look the fact that you should have used DOUBLE quotation marks here, instead of single, because there is a bigger issue. You were supposed to capitalize "Sonny Boy", since you were using it as a means of addressing a person, in place of their name. In fact, you were using "Sonny Boy" AS a name, so you should have capitalized it. QUOTING YOU: "this area than you'd ever make, let alone save, if you worked until you were 200." ME: My, my, where to begin? First, the proper contraction should have been "you'll", not "you'd". Your grammar is terrible. This would more properly have read... "this area than you'll ever make, let alone save, even if you work until you ARE 200." QUOTING YOU: "Over and out !!" ME: Why did you put a space between "out", and the exclamation marks? Perhaps someone slightly better qualified, should be the Grammar Police here?
