Granite City Teacher

Who is the Granite City teacher that had an "alleged" affair with her 18 year old student? Anybody know?

probably the principle mr.harshany...i know years ago he slept with one of the girls when he was a pe teacher. but god only knows now days them teachers are all skanks.

all i know is mr.harshany looks damn good.and i would have slept with him too.call me what you wanna.but as far as him sleeping with and under aged girl.thats not right and he should be in trouble.

yea i heard about that to my senior year!!! and it was still supposedly been going on until she graduated.and this was 2005

it was the pe teacher knollman and principal harshany..his wife busted him lol we all knew he was a perv!

As best I know, a private investigator has been brought in. What is to be found, I suppose we will all know in due course.....this does not bode well for residents of G.C., as they are paying taxes to fund teacher's (and other appropriate personnel) salaries. If these employees of G.C.S.D. #9 get out of control, then people will move out of town looking for better places to educate their young. And the long slide to being a suburb of East St. Louis continues.

yea harshany was sleepin with J.R cant mention her full name yet but its been goin on 4 2years!! he bought her prom dress an his wife took the phone bill to the highschool. mrs.knollman was going to parties with the students playin beer pong an makin ut with the highschoolers! i saw her at a few places purchasing beer with students!!!

well, mrs.knollman is not committing the act of terror here.she may have partied with some students, but please?...these days, how many teenagers can say they dont drink with their own parents?and this is my point exactly...if someone busted out some of your parents and put them in the spotlight, i highly doubt youd be trying to make them sound this guilty.as for harshany, yeaa...that shit is fucked up.and i know J.R. and she wasnt the only one.this has been going on for quite some time and there was more than one girl he slept with.i cant believe when people have a wife and kids, theyre gonna do some shit like that..and thats pretty much terrorizing the highschool students on top of that.idk about the rest of you who may attend gc, but as far as im concerned, i dont exactly trust the teachers anymore..it really makes you wonder what theyre thinking when they look at you or some other girl..and its scary to know that something like this has been going on and its just now being brought to the public.this should have been stopped a long time ago.but now, we must live wondering what else our teachers are hiding behind those fake smiles...im glad im out in december...

It seems to me if the school faculty would pay more attention to what the teachers are doing and the rumors they hear, and less emphasis on the dress code, this crap wouldn't be happening. My daughter knew this was going on for awhile now, she would come home and tell me. Yet, instead of who the teachers are messing around with, they get on my daughter for the wrong color socks...yeah, socks!!!! This school is going down the toilet!!!

mrs.knollman, she was the best pe teacher.she was down to earth.i believe thats why she was so well liked by students.but if she was really doing these things then criminal action should take place as well as mr.harshany.wow i can believe this about mr.harshany but not mrs.knollman.i kinda thought she was a dike, in high school.

Uh, no. My grandparents did not party with my parents. My parents did not party with me. I do not party with my children and my children will not party with theirs. That's just the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.
Theres a reason its against the law to contribute to the deliquency of a minor and theres a reason you cant drink till your 21. I would never party with a minor and I would look down on someone who did.

I agree somewhat about drinking with your kids. But let me ask you, it is ok for a young man or woman to go fight for our country and possibily die, but cannot have a drink with their parents at home? You have to be the responible parent and their aren't too many of them out there. They are too worried about themselves and how screwed up they can get. Not all teachers are alike. GET A LIFE

There are too many teaching staff worried about what others do. For example what time they come and go. If they would worry about themselves maybe the education system would be better. MIND THEIR OWN DAM_________BUSINESS.

I bartended my way through school and heard that old, tired "if I can die for my country..." line time and again. I don't make the laws and my opinion don't matter in them, but I do have to follow them. Besides, I don't really consider a kid of 18 to be a minor, but they are still not 21.
I never said all teachers were alike. I like the life I have ok enough but if you got a better one I'll gladly trade :)

The decline in our beloved GCHS can be traced back to the fact that they removed the smoking area in the mid-80's. Does everyone remember the smoking area? You know, the triangle area in the back?? They should really bring back the smoking area.

dang schools worry about certain shirts n pants but what about the real problem predater teachers,makes me sick...

Have you ever been in the military, if not then you wouldnt understand were people are coming from, if someone is willing to die for there country at 18 years old I believe they are more then able to pick up an alcoholic beverage and drink. They are taking CHILDREN to fight so you can have your measly opinion on this webiste. You may have a job as a bartender but my husband is fighting for your freedom to have had your bartending job and attend school. You may think that you dont want to hear this liine ever again, but honey you live in America and as long as you live were freedom comes at a price, of Americans lives, you will hear it till the day you die. So please rethink again when you say you dont want to hear it, or go to another country were things will be 10 times better for you, I am sure. Or if you dont like that you can join my husband in Iraq to help fight for your freedom or the many others that are in Afgan, I am sure they would love help from smart ass people like yourself.
