As a parent the only gang I want my son affiliated with are his own two fist and that's for defencive purposes lets make a safe path for our children and clean the streets now, besides who wants to act like they live in a hood, where your son gets killed over gang initiation or something more petty? Turn in these young problems not only to save your life but the life of your children and possibly their own.

Yes, there are several gangs in Granite and they have been there for quite some time.

How serious or how "real" they are is different question.

There are Latin Kings, Jiggalo Klan, KKK members, AA Brothers, theres all kinds... and the only REAL ones youre going to find around HERE are all in their 50s and 60s..... all the young bloods and Cryps and little latin kings THINK they know whats up, but all they do id get into fights and jump people. If anyof them wound up in prison they would die reppin their "gang" because the REAL gang members would kill them. No one around here knows where the "Gangs" they represent originated from, or what theyre actually about. all they think is "oh im ( white black hispanic) so im going to be in this gang and make money and hurt people" Nothing is real serious around here as far as gangs.... its the singles you have to worry about. When you see one mean looking white, black, hispanic, walking alone or something. Kids are all usually packing something now days, gun, unloaded, loaded, or fake, a knife, that whats bad.

The Company was actually not a gang...they were literally an organized crime syndicate..

that group was one of the very few that actually would have had me second guessing my "fear no man" approach

Didn't know GC had any gangs except for the bikers that used to hang out at an "out of the way" bar in Pontoon years ago.

Weren't they based out of Alton? If it's the one I'm thinking of a close friend of mine was involved w/ them. They would pay my friend to count money. True story. This was in the early 80's(yes, I'm old.) I know a few of them moved to Texas when their cause was compromised. TWPR, does this sound right to you?

it was more of an east alton thing..they were from the vietnam war and i only know of two left alive...one is in prison and one lives in a humble and quiet manner..the rest are dead now as far as i know...

late 70's through the 80's..yes...

those were some very focused men...tight ranks, tight members, tight rules...and tight lips!

as for texas..i am not sure on that part..it is possible..

No, no leg warmers and no AquaNet. Although I do remember when AquaNet first came out. And Im still chuckling at the idea of the 80's as being old.

Go ahead and laugh gcgirl. I don't see what is so funny but laughter is a good thing. You do not know how old I was in the early 80's, now add 32 years to that. If I was 10, I don't think my good friend would have been counting money for The Company. If I was 20, I'm now 52. If I was 30, I'm now 62. If I was 40, I'm now 72. I'm definitely no spring chicken. lol

I'd say they are one and the same. My friend always had a pocketful of money. Those were the good "OLD" days!

shlisten.....old is a state of mind..except on those days the aches and pains say differently. You are right I've no idea how old you are now or were in the early 80's. Only laughing because it amuses me when someone refers to the 80's or something coming from the eighties as being old. Hope my laughter did not upset you...it was not intended to. Please accept my apologies if it did.

No apology necessary. I thought it was funny b/c I think I'm old and then a person I don't know is saying the 80's were not so long ago. lol It's all good.
