What Is El Dorado Hills About?

My family & I are thinking about relocating to the EDH area & would love to hear your imput about the area before we decide. What are the people like, are the schools good....ect.

EDH is a pretty town and growing fast. the schools are good up to the high school but then it stops. the high school is very focused on sports and not so much academics. when we first moved up here from the bay area we were looking to buy in EDH. the realtor suggested leasing for at least a year to see if we would even like. the best advice we have ever gotten. we hated it. it is a very snobby town. but like i said it is pretty. we really like shingle springs, cameron park and rescue

EDH is a very affluent area - lots of nice homes, nice cars. I do agree it's a bit on the snobby side. The area is growing like crazy; traffic is becoming an issue as they seem to be experiencing some growing pains.
As far as schools go, you may want to consider going on town over down the hill in Folsom. Excellent schools, affluent area, low crime. They are almost built out but may be expanding south of 50.

EDH is the biggest white suburbia in America! tons of racism here, EDH sheriif is corrupt and racist. The chief of Sheriff, just resigned for we dont know, but I suspect corruption. Serrano Country is run by racist comunist, so dont waste your time there! oakridge HS is hotbed for drugs! everyone is high, on Oxy, etc! dont get me wrong there is some good things about EDH, but stay away from Serrano, and I mean anything that has Serrano on it! THE HOA here is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! they FACIST!

I agree with you i have a 14 year old and 17 that go to ORH and that place is infested with drugs and no one will do anything abot it i asked for help for my daughter and the princable pretty my did notthing that school sucks

I moved to EDH in February from Las Vegas and thank God I signed a 5 month lease. I absolutely LOVED the scenery, the hills etc but like others I couldn't stand the snobs. You'd think it was Beverly Hills. Also everything there is super, super expensive. Save your money and move somewhere more reasonable.

You all can say what you would like, but I live in El Dorado Hills and love every minute of it. Yes, i have seen and heard of horrible things here, but where doesnt that happen? Just be realistic and put yourselves above all the stereotypes here. It honestly is not hard at all. Screw all the snobbs, and be the resident that makes EDH better. I surround myself with level headed people so I am guessing that those who didn't like Eldo did not know how to do that. The highschool is amazing and sends those kids to Harvard, Cal, Stanford, and every top school around. Try saying all that about a lot of other areas...

Why so much negativity on this site? Get a life and move on from this great place if you hate it so much. EDH is a beautiful community with the best schools around, some wonderful churches, low crime rates, families everywhere, endless activities for kids, good restaurants, great musical theatre, and some super-friendly people. Should I go on? The people who contaminate this site with their dark view of the world need some help.

To the sad folks who complained of snobs? Are you serious? Do you think that there aren't "snobs" everywhere you go or live? You mean, in the amount of time you've been here, you've been unable to meet friendly, down to earth people?

My husband and I have lived in El Dorado Hills / Serrano since 2003. We are transplants from Silicon Valley / Bay Area. We absolutely love it here in Serrano and could never imagine moving back to the Bay Area. Most residents are welcoming and friendly and the crime rate is low. By the way, the street we live on in Serrano is very multi-cultural and there is nothing racist about it at all. Don't believe all of the negative comments you hear since there are many happy residents like myself.
