Don't people have any decency anymore? How can someone boldly walk up to a counter with a stolen credit card and just spend someone else's hard earned money? I have never understood thieves. My daughter's ex-boyfriend would steal ya blind to support his drug habit, yet seemed to never get caught and go to jail. There were credit cards stolen, break-ins to cars, thieving from friends and neighbors, and lies lies lies. Lock em up and throw away the key. We all work too hard for our money these days. I'm starting to think that the foreign countries who start taking off fingers for stealing are right.
It is a fact

What could possibly happen to this woman? There was just a women who pulled a credit card fraud over $200,000 and she only got 5 months probation. So this lady's biggest punishment will probably be her picture on the internet! Come on, PUNISH people for heaven's sake!

I think I know this woman, I don't know her name, but she is a regular poster on here by the name of Rval2. Please please please lock this fruit cake up!! Make sure the bars on her cell are reinforced double strength steel, otherwise she may chew through them.

According to the agreement retailers sign with VISA, they do not have the right to deny service if a customer refuses to show ID. However, they do have the right to refuse service if the card is not signed.
EXACTLY! That's why the retailers are supposed to check the SIGNATURES, but they don't because they want the service. They do not do their part to prevent fraud.

O.k. it is completely wrong for this woman to take someone's credit card and use it. I agree she needs to be punished for doing that. But what I wonder is who in the heck keeps their credit card in the car?!!?? HELLO! That's just asking for trouble! Always take your purse and wallet with you people.

It is surprising to see that I am not the only one who finds this woman familiar. I am a Grandville resident, and I see a former Grandville resident and a former Wyoming resident find her familiar as well.
One thing I would like to point out is that she is wearing a JACKET!! In this HEAT!! Very recently I saw this woman in the same JACKET in extreme HEAT, and I knew nothing "good" could come from that in a major store in Grandville. I am sure you can imagine what I witnessed and reported to the store.
I am now in contact with authorities to work with the loss prevention department of that store!!
Hopefully this will help in a quick arrest!!
I honestly cannot believe, at the time I read this article and contacted the authorities, that she hadn't been found and arrested yet!!!
This woman has not been caught or identified. The detectives do not know where she is "roaming" at this minute. She is a slick one....not an amateur, and BOLD!! While "roaming" she could even walk into "someone's home"! The detectives went to the store to see loss prevention. IF she was apprehended by them, they will at least know who she is. IF she got out of the store, they have no more than they already do.....surveillance video. The detective was very appreciative, and they are quite concerned. They are not getting much help!!! I have made sure my doors, garage and vehicles are all locked after speaking with the detective. This woman NEEDS to be caught!! I have also instructed my teens not to leave a purse or wallet LOCKED in their car in a friend's driveway. After speaking with the detective, this is to be taken seriously, as we don't know where she is "ROAMING" right now. We all need to keep our eyes open for her in various communities.

Being a Grandville resident, I have heard a saying "If you are going to break the law, make sure it is not in Grandville!"

The Judge in Grandville is the toughest in Kent County. I am quite sure this woman will get a stiff penalty, considering the Judge, AND the fact that she is sure got the police busy looking for her! Lots of tax dollars wasted hunting her down!

Toughest judge in Kent County? Don't get me wrong, I grew up in Grandville myself, but I'm not sure how to take that comment, when my own daughter was molested at a residential daycare in Grandville, as well as another child (public record too- he confessed) and the guy that did it is not even on MIPSOR, nor did anything happen to him...not even a slap on the wrist. Amazing.

I think all credit/debit cards should have pins that have to be used in order for the card to work. That would help a lot. Banks should not charge people if they choose to use debit over credit at the store with their debit cards. A little change on part of the banks could help a situation like this from happening as much as it currently does.

Now here's the rub people,
Most major retailers have those litte machines for customers to swipe the card themselves. You never actually have the card in hand to check signature. Only one I was able to sorta stop was a young black male with a gold card who came into store and tried to puchase a PS3. It was his 3rd trip into store (this time with 3 friends). The other employees just didn't notice that the name that came up on register was Jewish. I only was able to deny the sale, not take the card or report it.

I work for a local bank and I ask for ID if I dont know the customer. The customers I know dont get asked for an ID, but of course I gotta know their name and account number. You'd be surprised how many customers yell at me DAILY for asking for their ID's for their own account information. I usually reply: If you dont know me, I probably dont know you, so therefore I need to make sure it is you who I am dealing with. But of course, I say it in a nice friendly voice.
