Looks like there is 220 people in congress who don't care about the economy, individual rights, or a to stupid to figure out what is in this bill.

Could someone tell me where I can review the wording of this health care bill? I work part time and make VERY LITTLE income, yet if I am going to be forced to purchase an insurance plan from the government, they may as well put me in jail. I often don't even have enough to pay my rent, let alone that!

I would like to see the wording of this health care bill so I can try to talk to someone about it?

Thank you in advance.

In my opinion, this bill is too wieldy and complex, trying to fo too much in one fell swoop. Some portions of it may be good, but others are bad for the economy and/or unconstitutional. I can see no way this could be debated as it should be.

Good for him.

This thing needs to die a painful death in the upper house.

Unless they tie it to a spending bill then it'll pass on a 51 vote margin. Land Swindler Reid has already suggested he he might do just that. What's he got to lose? He's already getting hammered back in Nevada and his re-election is looking dim anyway.

like it or not money will always be a 'trump' to human life UNLESS YOU are willing to give up all of your income to pay for the humans all over the world dying everyday because of lack of money than you are no better and no different. And I'm quite sure there are plenty of Democrats that put a pricetag on human life.

Have you made an attempt to read the bill(s) that are out there? Are you even aware that the cost estimate on the one passed Saturday is 1.3 TRILLION dollars??? Of course, you don't care about that since you think that only the rich will have to pay, don't you?

Let's go back a ways when "W" was spending BILLIONS upon BILLIONS on a war we can't win. Naturaly this was a ok since he's republican. Nary a peep came from you people. The whining and crying was non-existent at the time. But now that a Democrat is spending money like "W" did, you people are having a fit?? Oh please.

Obama is spending three times as much. He is spending more than all the Presidents in the history of this Country.

Okay - let's get real for a minute. How much money do you think Bush & Congress should have allocated for the war AND which "War's". You realize we are in 3 altogether. A war in Iraq, a war in Afganistan and a general War on Terror. None of these 'wars' can be won - only battles that fight the ultimate goal to keep our homeland safe/safer from Terrorism. Now, certainly one can argue we don't belong in Iraq & Afganistan - but one cannot dispute the fact that since 9-11 the Bush Administration and our military was successful in preventing any repeat of 9-11. I don't happen to LIKE putting all that money into it -but go back to your other statement about Republicans putting $ figure on life. Aren't you doing the same thing if you are unwilling to put money into preventing the loss of life like we experienced on 9-11?

So - rather than throw around all the rhetoric about 'billions spent on a war we can't win'- look at what HAS been accomplished with that money. Too much? Perhaps. But personally I am grateful that we haven't had a repeat of 9-11. HOPEFULLY - you can agree that at least some of the money we've spent has been worthwhile given some of the results. But more importantly, if you think we spent too much on that, how can you justify being upset over that and not being upset about the fact Obama is outspending Bush and every President before him in almost his first year in office? It seems to me if you are upset about one you should be equally upset about Obama's spending. For the record, I am upset about a portion of the spending Bush did but not ALL of it because I feel the war on terror was a necessary one for homeland security. I can even forgive Obama's spending on the economic stimulous because that challenge was equal to the challenge Bush faced in his first year. But to add healthcare reform and the financial burden this places on our taxpayers and our children is simply NOT acceptable.

Doing nothing to help our people get affordable healthcare and letting the insurance companies run things is simply NOT acceptable

This Socialist health imprisonment bill will not only kill the economy it will kill the choices that you currently have with your heathcare. I have a son that I have been dealing with for 21 years through the healthcare system, he is a transplant 2 times over, and as it stands now, we decide who to chose or not. with the new health imprisonment bill, the government will decide what he can have or who he can see, and I for one refuse to let someone else make the choice for me.

In being in the hospital as much as I have, I have yet to see anyone refused service because they do not have insurance. The first thing they do is send a social worker to you and figure out how they can get the treatments paid for, I know because I have gone through it, there are more options for help out there than you know.

The only thing that needs to be done to the healthcare system are a few things, like portability, tort reform, not a complete socialist overhaul!!

What an imbecilic comment to make when the Dems wanted the new health care bill to include Federal funding for abortions.

While I agree that finding ways to control costs in healthcare is a worthy ideal, I fail to see how GOVERNMENT can attain this goal any more than they can control the costs of the gas you put in your car. There is an assumption by you and others that the Government's 'insurance' will compete and help lower costs. Please explain to me, how you think this healthcare bill will make healthcare more 'affordable'. Keeping in mind that Hawaii attempted to insure all the children of it's state only to hault the program after 7 months. Why? Because people stopped paying for their own insurance and tried to enroll them in the state program. How will this competitive "Government insurance" differ?

http://blog.jonolan.net/politics/healthcare-f...

I understand it is what you wish for. But wishing for it and the reality of this bill are TWO entirely different things.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
