its about time they are taking these 2 to trial. I cant believe its taking this long even after hes told people he did it..

Trial date is going on 2-2-09 through 2-10-09 for Dan and Ryan's trial will be in April. This is for you Randy MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. These men should rot in prison

yes, i was there yestersday to testifie. im not family, i was friends with Dan in 94-95.

Why is their no news coverage on this?

I was wondering same thing. i know allegan news runs 1 time a week, but it would seem a story like this and how many people that was involved they would take the time to cover it a bit more. Another things thats sad is in court Dan's side of courtroom had about 30 people and Randys side had about 8. And from my understanding Randys parents are in florida? 17 yrs of waiting and on vacation in Florida during there sons deaths trial!:(

I was in court on Monday morning b-cause I was to report for jury duty (my number was never called) Why in the world would his parents be in Florida? Stupid.. I seen that the press tried to come into the courtroom for jury selection and they escorted him out. go to moonhaze2002 at yahoo to let me know what has been happening. Is it over? The judge said 2 weeks.

To Concern, their was little press coverage due to the fact the cc team & the so-called prosecutors all know that Dan had NOTHING to do with the beating death of Randy. Ryan Thibodeaux did, Dan was in the wrong place @ the wrong time and they know it. Several police officers and detectives admitted over and over they know Ryan did it on tape by the way that the jury NEVER listened to. Dan was an easy conviction because he finally came clean and did the right thing! However, now a real murder Ryan Thibodeaux will go free to kill again just as he has killed 3 other times! I wish justice would have been sought for Randy's family but unfortunately now that won't happen. I do not know how that jury can live with themselves after that verdict when they only deliberated for 2 1/2 hours. Shame on them!

To Justice for Randy, I think you need to keep your lying self off any of these blogs. I think it was more than proven you made up your whole story to save your own butt. You didn't even know Dan you only heard rumors of the murder but, to save your own butt from severe prosecutation you would lie and risk an innocent man's like. You will have a much higher power to answer to someday! Remember that Robert Martin!

Ok CHAD...I seen on another blog that you quoted the bible saying "an eye for an eye"....Shall I remind you that the Bible also states..."Love one another", "Don't judge others", and the biggest one "Forgive....! I hope you get a chance to read into all these cuz it seems as though you skipped over these! Oh yeah....It doesn't say that it is okay to beat people senseless outside of a bar! You and I both will be judged on judgement day...unfortunately we won't have a jury...or an appeal! We will get an eternal sentence....with God or to hell!! I want to meet Jesus someday and I know I will. Dan can be in jail and have so much more peace then you have. Why? All he has to do is give his life to the Lord and he could have an enormous peace about everything. Chad, just think about how your words effect the family that is left behind. Maybe you don't like them but respect the fact that there is a wife and kids who are having a difficult time. Please read the Bible and find peace with your life too! It is amazing!

Ryan is arrested and gonna go to trial. Dan was found guilty yesterday. I didn't know much about this thing, but didn't expect this from Dan. If Dan is really as good as everyone says (and the little I know of him: good person), why doesn't he testify against Ryan? I didn't know Ryan except by name from school, but if he is as crazy as everyone says, maybe it would be safer for everyone (including Dan's family) to help put him away for good. How scary would it be if Ryan gets off because Dan or others won't help and he then hurts Dan's family or someone else! I am glad I moved away from that town!

To concern: sorry I thought you knew the outcome. Dan was found guilty of 2nd degree. due to the fact that the CC team lied profusely during the trial. It was heare on tapes over & over that Dan did not kill Randy that Ryan did. Unfortunately for now the lies out-wayed the truth. Allegan is extremely corrupt that is why the MI Supreme Court is looking very seriously at the way they run their judicial system. The jurors only deliberated for 2 hrs and had free rein of the court house. The came and went in the same doors everyone else did used the same restrooms as everyone. Only in Allegan! And to K-zoo girl, Dan is in this situation because he tried to help the police for the last 9 yrs and look where it got him! They lost the tapes he wired up with , I could go on and on. On other tapes though these cops admitted over and over that they know Ryan did it and atleast 3 other murders. Dan was only an accesory after the fact due to the threats Ryan made to him and his family. What would you do @ 19 and being in that situation? AS for Chad Devries I dare you to keep commenting on this subject you are right up there with Ryan thibodeaux and there are alot of people laying for you and your continous threats you keep making to people. Ps. the only way Ryan was finally arrested is because Dan did do the right thing and cooperated 9 yrs ago so Ryan's trial wil be in April.so unless any of you have lived any of this which you haven't and you know who I am speaking of mind your own business! As far as I'm concerned Randy's family still hasn't recieved justice. And Dan and his family put them selves at risk to do the right thing for Randy's justice. And because the detectives dropped the ball on several things that's why Dan was convicted. But, trust me when I say it ain't over yet! I will promise you that!
