Full story: TwinCities.com

A black bear got a little too close for comfort at a home in western Minnesota. A Norman County sheriff's deputy shot and killed the bear after it tried to get inside a farmhome near Perley over the weekend.

Story should of read. Man shot black bear as it tried for the second time to enter the house. Waste my time calling cops so they can call a conservation officer. What the hells wrong with this country and people. Shoot the bear it's trying to get into your house for the second time.Good Grief!!!

probably Bush's fault that the bear was trying to get in. Everything else seems to be.

Just because this happened in a smaller town doesn't mean these people had a firearm in their house. I know people in rural Minnesota that do not have guns in their homes. Not everybody cares for guns. I don't and if I lived there, I would have had to call the police also.

They couldn't of tranquilized the bear and run him back out to the woods? It seemed to work for Yogi, and Boo-Boo all the time when they got too close to the picanic baskets.

It is funny to see the comments here, not one is against shooting this bear since it was trying to get into a house... never made it in... yet everyone yells at the woman in WI that shoot a 553.4 lbs black bear for hunting. It was her fist time hunting bear and will feed her family for a long time during this poor economy that we are in yet she is in the wrong for hunting and this person is in the right... what cause the cops came??

If it wasn't a black bear they would have tried harder to save it.

Not true people. Since this was black bear, most likely this was a follower of Obama and a member of the Democratic Party. Why would this be Bushs fault. Now if it was a lilly white Polar Bear, especially an Older Male Polar Bear, then it would definately be Bush's fault.

What do you know about the Twin Cities? There are so few places that I don't feel safe in Minneapolis (Philips and Jordan neighborhoods) or St. Paul (east side). For the most part, the Twin Cities is an excellent place to live. Turn your t.v. off and get off the computer and get out and enjoy the wonderful places The Cities has to offer before criticizing it.

Odds are the bear would have come back there territorial, so he was in his home area, and being around people and not afraid of confronting them means he could very well be a danger to someone.

I live in St. Paul's East side from 1977 till 1994 Got sick of the crime so I moved To Linwood Mn So I'm sure I lived in the cities longer than you are old. And I feel safe when I visit my family down there. Due to my carry permit right. And the 45 cal under my arm. So Been there done the cities crap. No thanks
