Pawlenty feted by Washington GOP elite

Full story: TwinCities.com

How does a GOP governor from fly-over country pack a house in Georgetown with over 100 people, each of them giving at least $250 to his campaign committee? Well, it helps to be on every short list for ...

I will be fairly shocked if he is selected as VP.
While he is a Governor, he will not be able to deliver Minnesota for McCain. So they would be picking him hoping that people from OTHER states might want to vote for him, not knowing his record like his home state does. I suppose that COULD work, but it would make more sense to pick someone who could also deliver their home state.

You just knew somebody would have to throw in the liberal whining. He's not running for anything right now and if he was there's still no reason for impeachment.

If he runs as VP, you can put money on the fact that he will get a buttload of heat for putting Molnau in charge of MNDOT, a position she had ZERO qualifications for, and that may have directly lead to the 35W bridge Collapse.

"100 people, each of them giving at least $250" $25,000 to PawTy's campaign, is this a joke? I almost fell off of my chair laughing. Thank you politico for the comic relief. Better than the Sunday comic strips. PawTy got less than 1/10 of 1% of what Obama or Clinton has raised in 1 month, Obama raised 51 Million in just this month. McCain can't be serious about PawTy, maybe it's time that McCain needs to realize that he should change co-Chairs to Romney instead of PawTy.

Don't be so sure about what he's running for. He's more sly than people give him credit for. It's going to be more interesting to see what he runs from.

I also want to thank Pioneer Press for showing that Gov. PawTy is again outside the state seeking his political ambitions while our congress is trying to deal with a Billion Dollar deficit. And Minnesotans didn't actually believe PawTy when he said that he would serve out his 4 years as Gov, during the 2006 election, did they? The only thing that he has carried out are his Draconian pay back threats, and his promised 750 Million dollar gift, of taxpayers' money, to a billionaire buddy. Or to appoint secret meeting Minnesota Supreme Court judges.

Yup, it is a really bad thing to have our Govenor so highly regarded.

I wonder if the DFL "elites" have ever "Feted" any Minneeesota Leftists?

If they did the article title would have been something like this:

"Grassroots Humanitarians take time from Feeding Hungry to Recognize *****-**** for her Self Sacrificing Efforts on behalf of the Downtrodden"

There is no link connecting Molnua with the 35 bridge accident. Get over it. You liberals are so angry when you lose. You should be happy these days - high gas prices, food shortages and rationing all thanks to you Green policy.

Hey Patricia,

Are you upset with Senator Obama or Senator Clinton. After all, they to have day jobs but are campaigning for president.

All I'm asking for is a little consistency and a little intellectual honesty. If you can't muster that, you should probably stay away from the polls (in the best interest of the country).

Thank you.

Isn't it just like a darn dirty liberal to post political commentary about a political figure? So typical.

Liberals are sore losers.

I remember when we lost to Clinton TWICE. We took it like MEN. We didn't whine and complain and investigate every little thing until the end of time. I mean what's to investigate with a bridge collapse anyway?

No one is saying not to investigate the bridge collaspe, just not paying for 10 different investigations. Unless Molnau was under the bridge with a hack saw, she had no link to in collasping. The liberals have accussed her of that. By the way I hope in some ways Pawlenty gets to be VP, then Molnau will be governor.
