Are you really that $&($#@ stupid??? Yes auto and home insurance companies will refund if you terminate your policy early. It is called an "unearned premium". Ask your insurance agent (if you have one) or anyone above fourth grade.

If you have paid your insurance premiums for whatever amount of time and have not made a claim during that period of time they WILL NOT refund the premiums you made during that time you were covered because you didn't make any claims.

You guys are the ones talking about prepaid premiums and early termination. NOT me. So your attempt to make it appear I am talking about something I'm not make you the stupid one because you can't grasp the point at issue. You need to make it the point you want it to be.

I've held an insurance license. Have you?

I must say I've gained a deeper insight into your thought processes. Just where did you come up with the opinion that birth control/contraception equates to killing the child?
I defy anyone to point out where in the Bible birth control/contraception is banned.
I thought about ignoring this statement as it is ridiculous but a typical Protestant form of argument in religious debate. For those that are not familiar I will take everyone through it step by step.

The ridiculous part of the statement is the last sentence. "you defy...to point out where in the bible"

As Catholics of every rite have NEVER been bible only, or as it were "sola scriptura" considered heresy by the Church. Catholics hold the full deposit of Christian faith. Therefore they teach more than "bible only." there is Tradition, and there is Oral Teaching ( notice the capitals).

I won't go into what all those are and what they mean, but I do assure you, they exist and always have, for proof, you may read any of the Early Church Fathers writings. In other words everything that Jesus, and prior, the Jews taught was not written in the "bible" (new and/or old testament). But by framing your challenge your way you task Catholics to cut off much of their faith and teachings and then argue... Sola scirptura didn't exist for some 1500+ years after Christ or the early Church Fathers.

For the complete Deposit of Faith one would have to turn to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Yes it's in there. For another supporting document, refer to the Didache written by the Apostles.

http://www.catholic.com/video/what-is-the-did...
http://www.scrollpublishing.com/store/Didache...

Your next argument be you said contraception not abortion, I would argue that many of the forms of contraceptives are abortifacients, which in fact abort a fertilized egg (aka a baby, aka life which according to our constitution is a God given right). But remember I have only given you one source among many in the Church. I defy you to prove in the full deposit of Catholic Teachings that the prohibition is not there.

Good Day,
First off... abortion is also considered a form of birth control.
Secondly, so called modern birth control did not exist in the time of the Old and New Testement for the most part. Although I am reminded of the segment of Genesis dealing with the brothers Er and Onan. As the scripture is written...
At that time, Judah left his brothers and went down to stay with a man of Adullam named Hirah. There Judah met the daughter of a Canaanite man named Shua. He married her and made love to her; she became pregnant and gave birth to a son, who was named Er. She conceived again and gave birth to a son and named him Onan. She gave birth to still another son and named him Shelah. It was at Kezib that she gave birth to him.
Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight; so the LORD put him to death.
Then Judah said to Onan,“Sleep with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the LORD’s sight; so the LORD put him to death also.
After this segment things get a little, well, crazy... Then I am reminded of a part of Psalms 127:
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
Steelie
This is an oxymoron at it's best...
Your "lord" being kills the children you claim are a heritage from the "lord" being itself.
Why would anyone worship such a cruel, heartless murderer?

I can't say exactly what Biden meant but I think free was probably just a poor choice of word. If you have health coverage through your employer and birth control was provided without cost to the employee would it then be free to the employee.
I don't think it was a poor choice of words at all....perhaps saying more than he should have but he said exactly what he meant.
As for 'free'...if I buy a box of candy and give it to you without requiring payment from you, did YOU receive it for free?

Why do you suggest such an horrible act?
Well, according to the post above, the "lord being" murders at will but no one holds it accountable...amazing.
Of course we could hope that people will quit bitching about so many people being on welfare and making more babies that will end up on welfare also but that would involve somehow stopping or preventing all those welfare people from making more babies.
Nothing any religion suggested has worked yet.
I'm sure you have plenty of bright ideas...fire away...

Are YOU suggesting that all welfare recipients be mandated to take birth control?
It's available to them now via Medicaid, but they don't use it. How, pray tell, do you propose we encourage them to use it more?

Maybe get them to pray about it and go to church more??
Oh yea, that's right, the church teaches them NOT to use those things...

"I defy you to prove in the full deposit of Catholic Teachings that the prohibition is not there."

I don't have to. Per you own admission the Catholic belief of no contraception is not based on Biblical text. It is based on expansion of belief beyond the Bible. Ergo dogma. In this locale I have heard the Catholic Diocese advertise on the radio that they are the most Biblical based religion. Really.? When their belief structure can be expanded beyond Biblical teachings? Not bashing the Catholic faith. By that same belief structure though I could well say it is a basis of belief to kill another simply for lack of the same belief structure. And that can be found in the Bible...if misinterpreted. How's that been working for us?

The "prohibition" IS NOT Biblical.

Hey Wiggley. Good enough. Hope you are well.

It gets tiring trying to teach the want to be clueless.

Sure am glad I decided not to become a teacher.
Now I'll wait for the sophomoric responses to that.

We are doing pretty well here in Virginia. I'm building an IT Business in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. and the wife is building a Building Inspection business in D.C. and there's plenty of work.
The winter has been mild and the Golf Courses have been open for business.
Take care.
