I don't find this funny at all. I find it disgusting and immature on both parts. The letter is rediculous and sounds like the writing of a 9 year old. Maybe the people of the neighborhood should get together and write a letter to get the point across without all of the immature words. Or, better yet, maybe they should get together and confront her face to face and deal with it in an adult manner. The world is so full of ignorance and its gettting worse every day.

Your comment reminds me of a 9 year old's writing.

Statue of....Jesus????

B.S.

It is a statue of an 18th century model!

An IDOL of "corporate" christians.

Statues cannot see, feel, speak, ect ect ect.

How many meals could have been provided for the poor for the price of that statue?

Was it made in China?

(The thieves should be removed from society however!)

<quoted text> maybe tom needs to go back to school!! the statue was not stolen, it is being held until they come and clean up the poop! if it was me i would clean it up and put it in a brown paper bag and put it on their porch!!!!! i guess the ones that think this is so wrong are also inconsiderate dog owners!!!!!!
Kidnapping, taking without permission, no matter what you call it...it's stolen. When something of yours comes up missing, I'm sure you won't mind. Sorry, don't own a dog.

I would never steal from somebody, but then again I would not hesitate to scoop up the neighbors dog poop and throw it right back in their yard. I have done this with our neighbor and I think they got the message when it landed on their van on their driveway.

I would never steal...but I would not hesitate in throwing their dog poop back in their yard if I knew where they lived. I did this with our next door neighbor whose dog ran the neighborhood and I think they got the message when I "flung poo" from their dog that I scooped up out of our yard and it landed on their van. Oh well...too bad!

I'm surprised Jesus hasn't just driven away in His car yet & escaped His captors - the Bible leads one to believe that He owned a Plymouth, as it states Jesus showed His "Fury!"

That woman has some nerve complaining about her statue. If you aren't willing to clean up after your dog, then don't have one. My sympathy is with the neighbors, because they have talked to the woman and had no success. Ever tried to clean fresh dog poop off a kid's snow pants? How about cleaning it off the laces of a toddler's shoe, with leaves sticking to it, while you are eight months pregnant, and the kid is still in the shoe, wailing like the d-mned?
Flinging it back in the owner's yard presumes that you know where the owner lives. She's lucky that they didn't do that - with this cold weather, some of those rock-hard poops might just break her window and melt on her carpet.

Although I am disgusted by dog owners that don't pick up their doggies "business", it also isn't right to steal, or "hold hostage" someone elses property.

Personally I'd have gathered all of the poop I could find and I would have laid it out on her porch like a poopie minefield in the middle of the night. I'm talking poop every inch or two - way more entertaining. I'd also make sure I was in a position to see the reaction when they went to get the morning paper.

A better solution is to collect the "samples" and put them back in her yard.

It is awful what those thiefs are doing to that poor woman. She has enough love in her heart to care for those wiener dogs, and a love for Jesus as well. Stealing is a sin, and I hope that those people not only turn in the Jesus statue, but ask God's forgiveness as well. That is a very blasphemous act, and I would be worried about my own soul after doing something like that.

It's to bad that people have to resort to something like that because you apparantly don't clean up after your pets. Giving respect gets respect.

I know walking dogs and not cleaning up after them can be a problem but holding Jesus hostage is a bit much. I am just glad I don't live in a neighborhood like that.
