This is just politics, The house Republicans passed almost the same bill in April and was rejected by the dems in Senate. The dems refused to compromise with the Republicans and the payback was there bill was shot down.

“Republicans had a bunch of ideas that we wanted to be included.… We wanted those ideas to be discussed,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who serves on the Small Business Committee, said on the Senate floor.

“Instead, we’ve been told that that can’t happen, that the majority is going pick our ideas that they are willing to listen to but the other ideas they’re going to put aside.”

Bottom line is both parties are at fault for this to not pass.

<quoted text>Problem is Romney and his fellow republicans represent the wealthy corporate and financial indivduals, that sold the american jobs overseas.....Case in point, last tuesday Senate republicans blocked consideration of a democratic bill, that would punish comanies that ship jobs overseas. Senators voted 53-45 to defeat a procedural motion to begin debate on the measure, which would eliminate tax breaks for companies that outsource jobs. Sixty votes were needed for the motion to succeed.....spin that.....
Which bill is that Blue?
Do you have the number so we can look and see who voted for it or against it?
If it's the one I'm thinking, there was also some $300 Billion in "stimulus" money attached to it, which made many democratic senators afraid to vote for it.
( a lot of them are up for re-election in November )
You do realize that there are some 450 bills passed by the house that are just sitting in the senate, many of them are jobs bills that offer company's incentive's to keep jobs here.
Dont you find it odd the the senate wont even consider any of those bill's?
It's odd that now all of the sudden, just shortly before the election tha Obama has started campaigning on keeping jobs here.
He's had complete controll of the house and senate for over two years and did nothing about it.
He gave G.E. Billions in tax incentive's, and stimulus money, and his jobs czar Jeffery Immelt the CEO of G.E. keeps on closing plants and sending jobs to China!
Yep,... Obama is looking out for the middle class. pffffttt!

There's your number one priority!
And it makes more sense now than it did back then!
Most of us were happy to see Obama get elected, given all of the promises he made back in 2008.
We soon realized what a disaster he has become.

I wonder why the senate doesnt vote on any of the jobs bills passes by the house?
Is it just bickering?
Why didnt the president sign this one?
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/28/us/politics...

What about all of these bills passed by the house, that are stuck in the senate?
http://randy.house.gov/uploads/10%2017%2011%2...

30or more jobs bills, just sitting in the democrat controlled senate:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/06/politics/congre...

I believe that right now we have a "Lame Duck" for a president, who wont take a stand and realizes he will be out soon!
If he were any type of a leader, he would force the senate to take some action.

The really sad thing is, is that in November, my vote isnt so much for Romney, as it is for anyone but Obama!
I had high hopes for Obama, with all of his promises.
He has failed, and his main goal has become being a celebrity.

So if you were so happy to see Obama elected, then you should point out which supposed idiot you were in that last video.

The vast majority of everything that the teabagger controlled House has sent to the Senate is anything but a real jobs bill. Supporting measures that reduce worker wages or throwing environmental safety under the bus for nothing more than excessive corporate profits are not considered jobs bills.

Don't forget that these bozos in the House have passed the same Repeal Obamacare bill 33 times, without a shred of evidence as how they would protect innoncent people being discriminated against by insurance companies.

Taking a pay cut to protect a CEO's bonus packages is not patriotic, its only stupid!

Ignorance is bliss eh Bobby! Did you get a fresh pack of kool aid this week or what?

Repealing Obama care is just the start and you "should" know that if you actualy paid attention.

They have said they would make imediately, the ability, to buy insurance across state lines.

They along with everyone else knows, Ins needs a major overhaul, but it needs to be done right.

You fix whats broke first,it should be a process, that can be tweaked to make it best for everyone.

tort reform would be addresed next, most likely.

Should also start with a few states , and gradually tweak until they have it right, before you roll it out to the entire country.

This is major, not something you shove down our throat.

It does not work well in canada, or europe, Ours has to be better. This was a legacy move for Obama, and not a good one.

Remember congress moves slow and this was fit in to Obamas first 2 years while he had control of congress. Economy was supposed to be job 1, but instead he focused on this boondogle.

Yes Ins. improvements need to be made, but why not get it 100% right, why rush into this? after all this is something that will affect us all, into the future generations, So lets just fix 1 thing at a time until its right.

I believe thats what the house wants, while the democrats just wants it thier way, without even knowing whats in the bill. Right?....you don't know whats in the Bill either, just following your marching orders from the back of your kool aid package.

Percentagewise I am sure that that is a flat out lie.

This Bush/Cheney/Wall Street greed has got to stop. America is already on its knees because of those clowns. The current Congress is no better than the Taliban and they know it.

TBA, I would like to think you couldn't possibly be ignorant enough not to realize that a Senate minority can stop ANY bill it chooses, and that individual Senators can even do it anonymously, through the (over)use of the filibuster.
Any legislation that is filibustered (and this tactic has become so common that only the statement of intent suffices to halt a vote nowadays, and the last four years have seen record numbers of filibusters) then requires a vote of cloture to end debate and bring it to a vote. 60 votes are required for cloture. Therefore, as long as the minority party remains unified, even a 59/41 ratio cannot truly be considered an effective majority.
In essence, your statement about control of the Senate is either ignorant or willfully deceptive, which again proves why the entire conservative mindset is detrimental to any progress being made. The explanation for why people hold that view ALWAYS comes down to ignorance or malice, and very often, both.
Considering the HC bill got thru on reconciliation damn near every bill should be filibustered as you never know what this senate will attach in the wee hours of the night..without debate, without committee hearings, without reading the bill, and by lying about under lying tax increases, and unfunded mandates. Reid and the like cannot be trusted.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
