The Real Sandy wrote: <quoted text>I have seen those videos. And Reagan wasn't the Republican "god" you people seem to think he was. He was a man who put his pants on one leg at a time, as does Obama. Let me say this very plainly: WE DO NOT HAVE A TAX PROBLEM, WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM. What part of that don't people understand??????? I haven't ever thought he was a god. Every time I turn around though some Republican(s) and/or Tea Party(iers) are praising Reaganomics. One can reduce their spending right down to living in a cardboard box under the freeway when doing so to keep up with the reductions in income. Yes we do have a tax problem, along with the spending problem. Only a blithering idiot and their followers would start two wars and reduce the means to pay for them. And the insanity shows up when it has become obvious the bills are there and refuse to increase the income when it is entirely feasible to do so. Even Reagan did that.

Whatever, you won't ever and have never admitted that revenues increase when taxes are reasonably cut. We have gone around in this circle too often. You have your opinion and I have mine.

Funny.. only a blithering idiot would pass a health insurance law without a way to fund it as well....

The best bet for your party in this election cycle should be to automatically call 49% of the population lazy worthless bums because they don't earn enough to pay taxes. Then you can go to work against all of those taxpyaers who believe in a woman's right to choose, the entire LGBT community, immigrants, union employees, atheists, and half a hundred other groups that don't fit into your narrow minded view of this country. Great plan.....

Batch 37 Pain Is Good wrote: <quoted text>A spending problem...... Ah yes, the typical catch phrase that most everyone can agree with but when it comes to rational thinking of where to cut the spending they expose their insanity. "Show me a poll that indicates anything close to a plurality of support for these kinds of indiscriminate cuts and maybe I'll reconsider writing that the Republicans are out of their gourds -- at the very least, they're laughably out of step with a vast majority of Americans. Throughout the previous decade, we scarcely heard the words "deficit" or "debt" so much as whispered by the Republicans. But suddenly, after they've racked up a record deficit and when federal spending is precariously keeping the economy from sliding back into another recession, they want to cut everything in sight -- except for programs that benefit the super wealthy. And, at the same time, they refuse to support programs like infrastructure spending that will create millions of new jobs and $1.57 in economic growth for every $1 spent; a public option for health care and the option of negotiating prescription drug prices for Medicare, both of which the CBO says will reduce the deficit; and, naturally, a mere two-percent tax increase on the wealthiest Americans. Instead, they'd rather cut food for pregnant women, while also risking a double-dip recession. They're all in favor of redistribution of wealth to the wealthy, but they go full Red Scare on anyone who suggests helping middle and working class Americans or, for that matter, growing the economy." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/most-...

I wonder...has this writer on Huffington Post seen Mr. Obama's latest budget proposal?? Does he realize that if it is passed the Deficit will be over 16 TRILLION??? Does he care or is he like Bob Beckel who said, and I quote, "yeah, I know about the deficit, but that's not important." Really? The deficit was a major talking point for Mr. Obama and the left in 2008, but apparently in 2012, the new talking point is "we have to spend our way out of debt". Whatever, they certainly think everyone is stupid. IF they are re-elected, I will have to join their viewpoint that everyone is indeed stupid.

Obama has a 3.8 Trillion dollar spending bill proposed. He will make sure our National Debt is over 20 trillion if he gets re-elected. He has already spent more than all presidents combined, with no signs of slowing down.
