Then you have no idea of what the word "property" meant at the time of the founders of this country. Is your yearly taxation based on if you have one or how many TVs you have? Is your yearly taxation based on if you have one or how many automobiles you have? And don't equate the license fees of your automobiles because those are road usage fees for maintaining the roads and highways you use them on. Completely different from (income) taxes to maintain government.

To understand the meaning of documents such as the Constitution or even religious texts it is important to understand the word meanings and usage of the times they were written in.

Hard to figure out how the party who has pledged to never raise income taxes is ever going to get the 49% to put skin in your little game. The best they can do is file their returns based on rules written by congress and deemed unchangeable by your hero Grover Norquist.

What's tiresome is this notion that if we can just lower the taxes enough on the wealthiest they will be magnanimous jobs for all the underlings. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!

Watch especially the last one, which is the longest, where Reagan said those at the lowest income levels shouldn't pay any taxes...paraphrased of course. Listen to Reagan's exact words.

Change that to Democrats and you have the same arguement.The socialist party quit running 50 years ago, the reason they gave was, the Democrats have adopted our policies.

I have seen those videos. And Reagan wasn't the Republican "god" you people seem to think he was. He was a man who put his pants on one leg at a time, as does Obama. Let me say this very plainly: WE DO NOT HAVE A TAX PROBLEM, WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM. What part of that don't people understand???????
