It's just funny to see it played out right before our eyes. I have been listening to Beck more often as a result of the left's goofy attacks on him. I wanted to see what all the hubbub was. From what I've seen he uses their own words against them, along with facts and figures from history to back up his show. Yes, he hams it up, but he is an entertainer. I just wish someone would tell him there's no crying in radio!:)

This coming from the one who wrote: "Every once in a while we get a glimpse of the multi-sided virtues you fascists posess. I was listening to Beck one day when this woman called up to challenge what he had said doing so with a calm respectful tone and language with a valid point. Before she could even get the question finished Beck started SCREAMING at her, called her a very divisive name and hung up on her; proceeding for the next 2 or so minutes angrily telling the listening audience with whatever language he could get away with every name in the book he could think of to discredit her. I don't call that kind of presentation entertaining in the least. I have also noticed that lately he has decided to hide his ideology behind God and Jesus. I don't call that entertaining either. That instance with the woman was an extreme example of how he reacts to the callers that get past the screener(s) to challenge his perspective(s) but I haven't ever heard him respond to them in less than a condescending manner. He does present himself as a commentator and not an entertainer. That's his biggest lie.

I realize you are probably too young to realize it but there still are news papers and Fox News can be found on the web. And not once have I said it's all lies. That you accused me of it is in itself is a lie. Fox News knows very well the line they can go up to presenting the "facts" in just enough partiality to make it seem like they are presenting the "facts" and in their appropriate context. And when it suits them they will present the whole "fact" to be able to make it "horrible". So you can quit with your canned comments and rebukes because I haven't yet seen you back up anything you say with "the facts".

I'm sure if the left could produce a liberal show that actually stays on the air they'd do the same thing :) Face it, Beck could lay the facts directly on your forehead and you wouldn't admit to them, SIB. You gravitate to what you yourself call an extreme incident as example to sum up the guy's entire career - and that's supposed to suffice as a relevant argument. Regardless, Beck has nothing to do with ex-KGB guy Yuri.

Okay lets get back to the KGB guy; " The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.
It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages. The first one being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism...."
Demoralization - move jobs and production out to other countries putting the people that their quality of life depended on those jobs for income and health care benefits into a position of (practically) begging for any job and/or any number of jobs they can get to keep afloat in the midst of losing everything they worked for much less increase their standard of living all for the purpose of decreasing the cost(s) of production while maintaining prices and increasing of profits. Then turn the people against themselves to vilify any and all organization that allows them to maintain wages and living standards in the environment of mini kingdoms and dictatorships; deconstructing the notion that Americanism is about it's citizens and not just the corporate and moneyed in America accumulating as much profit as fast as possible in any way that accomplishes that goal.
Keep a system that is the only one on the planet where the people can go bankrupt for no other reason than out of control medical expenses when medical care is something no one can accurately predict the extent they will or will not need.
Change the perception of reality - the capitalistic system is working...when in light of the reality through recent events it can and is encouraged to be allowed to remain run unchecked nearly taking down the national as well as global economy. To not educate the country's students on what the true definition of a capitalist is - one who makes their living from producing nothing; rather by doing nothing other than the moving, transferring and lending of money for a profit.
I won't bother to get into the rest of the interview, except to say, did you even read that interview? "The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years". This interview was done in 1984. Who was the President in 1984? Who stated "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Who was it that set out to destroy the freedom of people to bargain for their lively hoods when barely over 1 year into his presidency (Aug. 03 1981) fired 11,345 unionized air traffic controllers? The same freedom the Supreme Court of the United States had deemed Constitutional more than 100 years prior. That doesn't coincide with "Unlike the present United States there will be no place for dissent in future Marxist-Leninist America." and "In [the] future these people will simply be [he makes a squishy noise] squashed like cockroaches for criticizing the government".
Who are the ones being brainwashed?

And so long as you saw that interview so enlightening maybe you should have gone even farther. Like clicking the link The Communist-Capitalist Alliance at the bottom of the page; http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/globalism/mont... “... there also exists another alliance - at first glance a strange one, a surprising one - but if you think about it, in fact, one which is well-grounded and easy to understand. This is the alliance between our Communist leaders and your capitalists. This alliance is not new. The very famous Armand Hammer, who is flourishing here today, laid the basis for this when he made the first exploratory trip into Russia, still in Lenin’s time, in the very first years of the Revolution.... “And if today the Soviet Union has powerful military and police forces - in a country which is by contemporary standards poor - they are used to crush our movement for freedom in the Soviet Union - and we have western capital to thank for this also.” Alexandr Solzhenitsyn, July 8, 1975.[1] “...Ex-Im Bank has been active in developing Russia’s oil and gas industry. Almost 50 percent of our portfolio in Russia is in this area. We have helped support modernization efforts of more than a dozen oil companies with medium- and long-term financing, and we are looking at several pipeline projects that would help bring Russian oil and gas to market.” Jeffrey L. Miller, Senior Vice President, Export-Import Bank of the United States, July 22, 2004 [4] "Why did the CFR-Globalists suppress Alexandr Solzhenitsyn’s message? Because they don’t want the American people to know: 1. There is a covert alliance between the men who control the communist world and the Globalists who control our nation. 2. The U.S. has kept ruthless communist regimes in power. The strange alliance between communism and capitalism existed long before the Russian Revolution. It initially surfaced during the French Revolution when members of the French aristocracy tried to help the Jacobins establish a communal society, and reappeared thirty years later (1820) when Robert Owen, the son of wealthy English capitalists, established a commune in New Harmony, Indiana.[12] When Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto in 1847, his closest friend and benefactor was Frederick Engels, the son of a wealthy capitalist, and in 1902, the leaders of the British Fabian Society (an appendage of the communist movement) began holding weekly meetings with a group of wealthy capitalists to determine,“What are we doing with the world?”[13] Who's being brainwashed?

Oh and this is so good too; "Lord Alfred Milner attended the meetings, financed the initial stage of the Russian Revolution (March 1917), helped Lenin establish his regime, and sent Bruce Lockhart to Saint Petersburg to monitor the course of the Communist Revolution.[14] William Boyce Thompson (a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank) sent Raymond Robins to Russia for the same purpose, so Bruce Lockhart and Raymond Robins worked together. Edward Griffin’s book, The Creature From Jekyll Island, describes what happened:"
Capitalists and Communists working together, who'd-a-thunk it.

But are there consistent underlying motivations? Four researchers who culled through 50 years of research literature about the psychology of conservatism report that at the core of political conservatism is the resistance to change and a tolerance for inequality, and that some of the common psychological factors linked to political conservatism include: * Fear and aggression * Dogmatism and intolerance of ambiguity * Uncertainty avoidance * Need for cognitive closure * Terror management http://berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2003/... Now let's watch you ignore the scientific research and attack the source. You do realize you are quoting from U.C. Berkeley right? And you don't believe there's any bias in their research?

I'm new to this form of discussion but I must say it is very interesting to read everyone's opinions. It seems we argue and disagree as vehemently as did our country's founding fathers. That must be a good thing, at least for those that are concerned we have strayed too far from what our founders intended. I, for one, wonder how long its gonna take before we can discuss matters with an eye for solutions rather than for ways to beat down the other side. None of you own this country but all of us are responsible for finding ways to to make us worthy of the high standards we hope to stand for. Its time for us to realize we are all in this together.
