Weren't we supposed to cut spending and be more careful what we spend our money on? Now the conservative's conservative wants the U.S. to spend huge dollars to put a permanent base on the moon. We supposedly don't have the money to pay for poor people's healthcare but spending God knows how much on a moon base is completely within our budget. This Gingrich guy is a complete moonbat! Obama is whetting his lips and praying that this goofball somehow pulls off the nomination because he wouldn't even have to campaign to win by 200 electoral votes.

“Is it really that interesting?”

This sounds like a great place to send those who no longer are proud of America. Let them start over on the moon. I would love to give Obama the moon!

That's what Obama said and then is wife spent millions on her vacations and her husband added trillions to the deficit. They don't have a clue was it means to watch their spending.
If Republicans have drowned in the shallow end, Libs drowned themselves with a fracking glass of water.

It always ends up the same with you people:

But...but...but look what OBAMA did.........

Aren't you supposed to be the party of fiscal responsibility? We all knew what Obama was going to do. YOU guys are supposed to be different. Obama wants to provide assistance to those who lost their jobs in this shitty economy and he is called "socialist". Newt wants to spend billions to put a Dunkin Donuts on the moon and he's called "A Great Fiscal Conservative".

Uneffingbelievable.

You are the fool Steve. Obama doesn't want to provide assistance. He wants to empty your wallet and convince you that the Republicans want you to die. Obviously, with your little brain power, his plan is working. Let's hope there are a lot less of your type of thought process in November.

Good Day,

Fine... And if this is the case then you would also have to criticize JFK for his moon program wouldn't you? Hmmm...

I'm pretty sure weren't 15 Trillion in debt and had a wonderful manufacturing base when that happened.

Good Day,

A project like this may actually help to create private sector jobs in aerospace and other industries. Just as the former moon program did. While a fiscal conservative, I want to see the actual numbers before making a final descision.

However, what is wrong with American exceptionalism like we embraced in the former moon program? Or our proclivity as humans to want to explore and take on new challenges? It isn't just about the possibility of private sector growth, but also all of the new technologies that have been created from space and military programs that have made our lives easier and more enjoyable. Take things like GPS, cell phones, improved air conditioning and heating systems, non-stick pans, robotics, carbon fiber, automobile technologies, sports equipment, electronics, clothing, propulsion, communications, optics, and so many more that they are almost too numerous to mention. There are few things in our modern society that have not been positively effected by these programs and exploration. It might be worth the cost in the long run... And I am left to wonder, what new wonders could be produced as result of such a venture?

LOL! That's just too funny! If it had been a Democrat who proposed the same thing you would have all over it condemning it, damning it and using it as an example of how progressive and liberals were going to spend our country into bankruptcy. You really crack me up.

Good Day,

Apparently you missed my previous post where I pointed out that to criticize Newt for this idea one would have to have decried JFK for his space program. Nice try though...

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Sagittarius

You're in the mood to spend today, especially on the spur of the moment. Be careful if you can't afford to make any impulse purchases, because a lack of cash won't stop you! If you do decide to splash out on something, you may be disappointed when you get it home and you might even decide to take it back.
