This was a terrible accident.i saw the aftermath and i didnt think anyone in the van could have survived.it was a miracle that the boy(driver)survived.the van was a total wreck.it was one of the worst accidents i have seen in a while.

how tragic the family will be in my prayers for sure. I grew up in the area which is very small with all the accidents & deaths this week im sure everyone in the area is in shock & saddened

I certainly hope no charges will be filed. This young man has been punished too harshly already by losing his mother. He will be scarred by this till the day he dies, he certainly doesn't need anyone saying "this is all your fault". God bless his mother, him and his family.

He was heasding south get the story right. He is still in critical but more stable than he was.

why do they always say "No word on whether charges will be filed in the accident."
Is there no such thing as an accident anymore? seems like the law always wants to charge someone for something when it comes to accidents. |

I agree Scott. Why on earth would they have to file charges??? It's a terrible tragedy. I'm from Edmore, and this week has been awful. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families that have suffered losses this week.

What an awful week for the small town of Vestaburg. My sympathy to the friends and families left to mourn. Such terrible tragedies will bring this small town together for sure.

this is really sad. I only have my permit and this makes me more alert to the things around me. I feel for the family and i hope he recovers
