that's sad that you would sue over that... I guess if by some faint chance he won the case zondervan would owe all homosexuals 60 million dollars and so would all other bible companies and churches... why doesn't he just sue his parents for saying he was a sinner

The real problem is that this guy thinks he is normal and is trying to convince everyone that he is ok.So he just wants things interpreted his way to cover his own version.

I highly doubt he has faced "emotional suffering" because of this. It's just an excuse to become rich without actually working for any of it.

Another needless lawsuit. If this guy wins a lawsuit against Zondervan for something as stupid as this, I'm gonna find me a lawyer and get me some money. Stuff like this is what's bringing America down and making people hate each other. I've read the word "homosexual in that verse since I was a kid. King James Version...there are millions of them out there! I'm sorry this guys family decided to be his judge, that is God's job, but, maybe he should sue his family for giving him a bad life based on a word in the Bible.

I have a friend who's parents were so religiously Christian they made her drink Tabasco Sauce after being "caught" talking to a boy at school to give him notes he needed after missing a day of class (among years of other such "cleansing of her demonic spirits"). Talk about pain & suffering! Maybe she should sue the makers of Tabasco! That makes about as much sense as this law suit!!!

He can't change the meaning of the Bible. He can play make-believe all he wants but the reality is even in the theory of Evolution; beings that do not procreate do not survive. When sex is used as a game instead of its natural purpose it opens the practitioners to disease and mental instability. Playing make-believe marriage and make-believe 'families' is self-deception

I am sorry this person has been mistreated by some people that don't know how to show the Love of Jesus. But to sue Zondervans over what the Word of God has to say is so so wrong. That verses and several others have been in the Word of God (Bible) long before Zondervans started publishing.

Why stop with homosexuality? Acording to 1 Corinthians v 9 idolators,(all) seually immoral people, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, slanderers, and swindlers also would have grounds for a similar law suit. One the other hand could straight people sue schools and the media for their positive portrail of homosexuality. I hope this guy has to reimburse Zondervan for its lawer fees.

As a Christian, it bugs me when people are so self-righteous. We are all sinners and every single person, religious or not, is hypocritical at some point. Not all of us are that crazy (well, maybe sometimes, like when I mow my lawn on Sundays, or drink a beer outside...in Zeeland!). Sorry-a little off topic.

I have an NIV from Zondervan and a NLT from Tyndale. Both say homosexual. Who is this guy gonna sue next? Paul? God? He just wants the Bible to say what he wants it to say so he can feel good about what he's doing. Very sad.

Lance, I totally agree. Sue your parents. Not zondervan. This is a stupid case for someone who is searching for money because he doesn't know how else to get it.

How come vulgar writings can be kept in the libraries and protected by freedom of speech, but not a version of the Bible? If my family reads blond joke books, could I sue the publisher because this Dutch girl gets called dumb for being blond? HAHA! This is so ridiculous it makes me laugh. Finally, okay, fine, take the word "Homosexual" out. He is still a fornicator, so his family would just call him a fornicator instead! DUH! That's my blond answer and I'm sticking to it!!
