Colombian man out thousands, stranded in GR

Sadly, there's too many stories of people desperate to come to the US, and the con artists who take advantage of them. Hope the law catches up with the guy who brought him here under false pretenses.

wow, I cant believe that somebody was ignorant enough to post that. so because he felt that he was given a chance he should just pack up and leave. maybe someone should have told that to your family members who came here from another country.

I'm wondering if the Hispanic Center of Grand Rapids can help these young men? Also the Refugee Center of the Catholic Church? There IS help here, all you have to do is reach out.

Clearly this guy was a fool and clearly he can't play soccer because any decent soccer player could find a game, get noticed, and someone would get him on a team/signed. That is, if he had any skill worth taking note.

AND if you were stranded in columbia and unable to speak their language- kiss you're ass goodbye cuz you would probably be raped robbed and murdered. i believe when my family immigrated here from ireland they went through the proper channels and worked their tails off for everything they had- nothing was given to them.however i would give this kid is $12.95 and a ride to supercuts.

Well other than telling everyone else to help this clever individual or they are mean and have no compassion,
why dont "you" go do it?

I like how people come off sounding like Mother Teresa when telling others, who they should help and who deserves help and how much help they need.
when they as an "individual",
wouldnt help out or do anything for anyone other than themselves.

I know, No body has a chance here! Do they. We all should leave the country.

Why help him, We cant even help ourselves. Thats the problem with this country. Too busy minding every other countrys problems instead of minding our own. Look how many homeless people we have. Some of them even die on the streets.... Let him go where he came from. Its not our job to take care of him.

Just give Bush a call he will take care of him.
