These losers went back home to their parents homes when the weather turned cold.

They hate capitalism until they benefit from the things that capitalism created (warm basement, coats, their iphones, etc.)

Worthless liberal hippiecrits.

Time to protest again in Lansing. The issue is having to renew license tabs every year and the idea of them expiring on one's birthdate. We don't renew our driver's licenses every year - so why tabs. Arizona does not require license tab renewals every year. Plus, the fees for registration and tabs have practically doubled in the last decade. Now, in my household having two vehicles to register at the same time costs us nearly $200. Now there's very little left to celebrate the birthday. Can we afford a cake? Spouse says to just buy cupcakes ... Where's the money for birthday stuff ... why its down in the state coffers ... pampering the Governor and the legislators. Occupy ...!

Why should the state have to foot the bill for your birthday shit?

If you're that damn hard up for money, made you should get rid of one of your cars, or cable TV, or your iphone, or your hi-speed internet, or any other excess monthly bill you created for yourself. Or, better yet, get another job or just A JOB if you're sponging off the taxpayers.

First, license tabs are renewed every year today. Second, your operator's license is renewed every four years if you don't have a change of address. Third, Cake mix is less than $2.00 a box so you don't have to pay $30.00 at Arnies..... Take up baking......

In other words Terri, get off your dead butt and quit whining. Try to make something of yourself instead of expecting others to try to make something out of you. Please?

They've alive and going strong, Terri. If you're on Facebook do a search for their Facebook page. They've changed their strategy from a physical occupation to one of working with other groups to spread their message. It wasn't too long ago that the Tea Party was in the news fequently because of rallies they've held. Those rallies have pretty much ended but members of the Tea Party will tell you that they're still kicking and going strong. It's the same with Occupy Grand Rapids. They may not be so visible but it doesn't mean they're gone.

Fourth: learn to differentiate between a WANT (expensive cake) and a NEED (license tabs). Unless you have unlimited $$, you have to chose every day between spending what you have on wants or needs. Some of you just haven't figured out how to tell the difference yet and most of you who can't are part of the occupy movement.
Here's another thought: if you can't afford to mantain two vehicles, get rid of one. If you can afford to pay the insurance, maintainence and gas for two vehicles, I have a hard time feeling sorry that you can't afford some cake mix and frosting. We all make our choices in life and live with the consequences. Most of us just choose not to whine about it like a spoiled child.
Sorry you can't have your cake and your license tabs, too. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it.
BTW...Cake mix on sale is usually around a buck a box. Add in the cost for the egg and it'll cost you maybe a dime more. Frosting is cheap to make if you know how.

The more you let the government tax you and the cost of tabs provides revenue (taxes) to the state - the state/city will keep coming for more of your money. They'll keep raising the cost for registration and tabs if we let them. Did I hear something about an 8 or 9 cent tax hike on gasoline? I don't know about you but I don't live or work to give horrendous amounts of money to the state. Take a look at all we are paying in taxes: general sales tax, gasoline tax, license and tab fees, liquor tax, cigarette taxes, taxes on an automobile purchase, luxury taxes ... need I go on?

Certainly I am able to make a cake at home without purchasing something thrown together in a box one to two years ago and sold in the grocery. Plus, I have many cookbooks and my own personal recipe collection. But we must have more than just cake for a birthday ... we still must eat a meal - all costing extra money if one wants to celebrate somewhat.

They vowed to "physically occupy" Grand Rapids indefinitely - all 6 of them, but soon realized what a completely hair-brained idea that was considering they live in Michigan. Sorry but their cause is as dead Charlie Chaplin - and can be taken about as seriously.

Sorry to respond to your little rant with facts, but I'm afraid you're dead wrong. As I told Terri, check out their Facebook page and you'll see that they are still very active. As to their cause, go to a website like www.pollingreport.com and check out their polling data. Polls show that people do agree with the concerns expressed by the Occupy movement.

Nevermind the fact that 99% of these lunatics don't have a clue what they're protesting to begin with.

Which concerns are those? Concerns that there needs to be more public defecation in the parks? Concerns that destruction of property should be overlooked? Concerns that chanting curse words in the presence of children and the elderly isn't a strong enough message? Concerns that the police aren't busy enough, requiring the protesters to attack them and damage their equipment? Which concerns are you referring to?

Couldn't care less, Mark. The only fact we need to see is these nuisances, who never managed to build their ranks beyond and handful, are now out of site and out of mind.

As for this grand occupy movement you keep touting ... that's what we saw happening on the cop car. Now don't bother me again.

I'd be concerned about racist biggot bastards like you associating everyone you disagree with as being a hippy.
Hopefully the rest of America can move on while you live out your 60's and 70's hallucination.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Scorpio

You need a little light relief at the moment and one of the best ways to find it today is to get together with someone who always makes you laugh. You might even want to tell them what's going on in your life at the moment so you can get their perspective on it. This will help to keep your feet on the ground and then you won't feel quite so miserable or beset by problems.
