O.k. lets lighten this up a bit.

Any football fans out there ???

My son plays varsity ball for Holland and we play Holland Christian tomorrow night. Should be a good game I hope. We only have 5 returning seniors but hopefully the younger classmen step up.

Anybody else have kids that play ???

No kids that play anymore. I am a huge highschool football fan though, probably know more than I should. Coopersville is my home team, and they have been real good for the last 10 years or so.

I think we are going to have a down year this year for the first time in a while, despite having a 55 man roster. We lost too much from last year, but maybe they will suprise me. We start off with Hamilton and I think they will be quite good this year. Then we get Z West, so those 2 games will give me a better gauge than the scrimage.

Good luck with your son and Holland, they are finally starting to look a little better.

Thanks TBA, good luck to Coopersville also.

We used to be a huge school but not no more with everyone moving out of the city and into the burbs. We are in the OK Black again this year.
Our two toughest games are our first two games with Holland Christian, state champs last year and then Lowell, I am not sure how far they went last year but they are always tough.

GO DUTCH !!!!

Are two toughest games are not in our division and are the first two games of the season. With the first being Holland Christian then Lowell. If we can go 50/50 with these two we should have a pretty good year again. I hope !!!

Hey I love the pistons too! although some of their moves over the last couple years dont make much sense. Big Ben is back this year, but Sheed is gone and Chauncy:(. This year will be interesting, But The Cavs and Boston are the top 2 teams now, with the addition of Shaq, and Sheed, respectively, They will be tough!

You know dang well the cavs are going to win this year, King James wants that ring!!! I still can't get over them trading Chauncey for I.A. what a mistake! but am glad Ben's back. he said he will retire with the Pistons.

West Ottawa sports booster here.

My daughter was a cheerleader that graduated with Ryan McDonald of the San Diego Chargers.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to play football--but it can't hurt either.

Good post about HS football, now what do you think about the CMU/MSU game? Many sports writers are saying CMU will upset.

They might but I still have to root for MSU as I will be dropping my daughter off there on Sunday to go to school. They may be starting Kirk Cousins this year, he graduated from Holland Christian two years ago.

But in my heart I am still a Michigan fan !!

It will either be Cousins or Keith Nichol for Lowell. Either way it's a local boy.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Gemini

Do a little lateral thinking today and it will work wonders. Don't feel hidebound because you're supposed to do things in a certain way, because this is a great opportunity to try a different approach for a change. Even so, you may have to play down your unorthodox technique when talking to anyone who sticks rigidly to convention.
