"PRESIDENT OBAMA: "Well, look, we -- we have seen, in the past, rampages of this sort. And in a country of 300 million people, there are going to be acts of violence that are inexplicable. Even within the extraordinary military that we have -- and I think everybody understands how outstanding the young men and women in uniform are under the most severe stress -- there are going to be instances in which an individual cracks. I think the questions that we're asking now and we don't have yet complete answers to is, is this an individual who's acting in this way or is it some larger set of actors? You know, what are the motivations? Those are all questions that I think we have to ask ourselves. Until we have these answers buttoned down, I'd rather not comment on it."

You have lost it, he is not defending him in any way. Now I know why you get upset when I post an accurate headline about something that you have already distorted.

Wow pete's new excuse for anything he dosnt like:

Just say that everyone is distorting everything.

This guy walked into this base and killed and wounded dozens of people.

You, Obama, and other on the left are telling us to not to "jump to any conclusions", and that he is suffering from afflictions due to combat he never saw, or that it's somehow Bush's fault.

Outside of the world of fruits and nuts you live in, that type of thing is called DEFENDING HIM!

The evidence is clear that he was a radical Islamic terrorist that was carrying out a hit on a military base.

He is not the "alleged" shooter.

He isn't some innocent lamb that was teased.

AND IT ISNT JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS TO POINT OUT THE BLEEDING OBVIOUS.

Now the question is why do you and Obama seem h3ll bent on protecting this terrorist?

Yea RIGHT, this guy had a problem, he was an extremist no ifs and or buts about it!!! He was going to get shipped out and he knew he did not have enough time to kill as many of our defenders as he could, while praising Allah, so he could get his virgins.

Fortunately he is alive so we can torture the heck out of him!! Oh wait our apologetic administration doesn't do that it’s not politically correct. at lease Bush had it right and kept these extremists in their place, not even a year with the new Socialist administration and we have been attacked on our own soil!!! GREAT JOB BOBAMA

Obama is defending Hassan? Suuuurrreeee....I guess you missed the Memorial Service at Fort Hood yesterday. In his comments at the service Obama talked about how the man who carried out this despicable act will receive his due justice in both this world and the next. He publicly condemned Hassan's actions. He did not defend them.

Please post proof of your claims that he is indeed a radical Islamic terrorist. Last I checked he is still in the hospital, has not admitted anything, and has not yet been tried in a Court of Law.
That being said, he may admit to some or all of these accusations but until he does you have only unproven evidence and Obama not wanting to comment on that matter is a good thing and certainly not defending or protecting this person...he's just reserving his comments until due process is completed.

I have to agree. Obama's speech was very appropriate and definitely made clear he was not making excuses for this attack. In fact, I appreciated his statement that no religion or higher power would condone that behavior. That resonated to a lot of people who have questioned his own religious beliefs.

I'll admit, I don't trust Obama. I don't even like him. Someone else wrote the speech, but I don't think Obama would have made those statements if he didn't believe them. I'm willing to give him the benefit in this case. It would be a stretch I'm just not willing to make to criticize yesterday's ceremony and Obama's words. The entire procedure was very respectful and honorable.

Why did all the major news outlets come out and say stress, stress, stress, and it takes FOX news to point out his connections with Al-Qaida.

Happy reading. Stories from across the political spectrum. They talk about his suspicious behavior in the past, past statements, and possible connections to other nefarious "alleged" bad guys.:

And So what that Obama went to the memorial service and said WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SAID FROM THE START!

Which is it? He cant condemn the shooter because he hasn't gone to trial or he ok to condemn it at the memorial...even though he hasn't gone to trial.

Good for him for saying the "right" things in front of the families. The fact that he waited for this occasion makes them nothing but hollow words. The police that went to professor Gate's house are rolling their eyes at Obama's new found wait and see attitude.

If this clown isnt in front of a firing squad, then all of Obama's pretty words would be for nothing.

Personally, I don't give a dam*. I don't want another dollar of taxpayer money spent on this guy. Pull the plug, stick a needle in him, take him out back and shoot him, I don't care. Just get him off this planet.

I guess you missed the last nine months.

The dude is a MAJOR liar. I record a lot of news and it's evident way too often. I have never seen as proficient a liar as he is. One day he said, "I will never sign a bill that would hurt the American public." The very next day, he's revving up the speed of the so-called "healthcare reform" bill and he's making speeches about the need to get that bill done!! Wonder how his brain reconciles all his islamic stuff while "leading" a Christian nation, maybe that's why he REFUSES to call an incident like the Ft. Hood massacre the terrorist act that it is.

He does a good job with the smoke and mirrors, but if you're paying attention you can get the back story that tells it all.

And yeh, he said all that stuff that you said he said, but what I noticed is that he spoke at length about each person now deceased. I felt as though he was ticking off the minutes. He spoke very little about Hasan and the fact that we've been hit by jihadi again. No surprise since this is the first muslim president and he has "banned" the phrase, "war on terror" Instead, we're supposed to say, "man-made catastrophe" or disaster...

His demeanor is never one of warmth. There's not much he likes. It's as if he is sleepwalking. Major disconnect. All this is highly problematic if you add in his vindictiveness and "the holy koran".

Unbelievable. I never thought this nonsense would snake in during this generation..if he and his evil cronies would have waited another decade, they'd probably have been able to slither right in. I don't think he expected so much American resistance to this crappy mix of socialism, communism and islamofascism that he and the czars have been trying to sneak in or bully in...I think he believed we are too decadent to be of much fuss, being the great satan, after all.

obummer didn't have to step out and be truthful about his real response--he has so many people fauning over him that by osmosis one of them or two or three of them pops off the defense.

General Casey for one. All too many in Congress...

Yeah, I thought the same thing, someone else wrote the speech.

However, I've seen example after example of things he says that he doesn't believe, as evidenced by some other verbage and/or some action that later highlights that he wasn't telling the truth...I'm curious, why do you think he'd never read or say something that he didn't believe? If that were true, he would be the ONLY person in the last 2 centuries who hasn't said things he didn't really believe in.

I no longer give him the benefit of the doubt.

Gee, hollering out Allah Ahkbar as he began shooting? Hmmm, maybe the emails back and forth with majorly radical imam? Same imam that supported 2 of the jihadists on 9-11 BTW.

It couldn't be all those remarks about the moral equivalence of killing Americans as retribution for all the awful horrible things done to muslims? There are some records made by various fellow doctors and other collegues! And, nah, I'm sure it wasn't the Power Point presentation..the one talking up jihad instead of giving the medically-oriented talk that he was supposed to.

And that's just what was made public in the last couple of days!

Of course, there is that matter of the FBI file on the guy...and all the people that are coming forward with various stories.

Very few follow-up calls at that time---but now many people have been coming forth with corroberative information.

Bobama, obummer, obaminator, obamination..

I like the comment @ our apologetic administration and their politically correct selves...

Bush understood that the islamic culture demands force and violence as the currency of respect. Dithering doesn't qualify. Bush is Texan, I remember seeing him on Fox News at his ranch in Crawford, doing some work clearing out fallen trees from the brush. He had on a gray T-shirt that was wet with sweat. Using a chain saw, and all the while talking to reporters. I wonder if he was kinda scrappy as he grew up. Anyway, all my liberal friends hated, like, frothing at the mouth kind of hate, Bush, Cheney, Rove, the whole bunch.

A lot of these same people are now yearning for the old days. Even my liberal friends see what obaminator is doing to this country...I hate this combination of socialism, communism, and islamofascism.

Yeah, obaminator called it in his speech, "..a tragedy." Which it is, to be sure. It's a tragedy because it couldv'e been stopped but no one wanted to risk being accused of discrimination. But if everyone had followed protocol there would have been obvious necessity to ID the guy as a terrorist, more specifically, jihadist, extremist.

This PC crap has gotta go.

So what I wanna know is, why do the liberals have to try so hard to never own up to what terrorism is? They wanna call it tragedy, crime, troubled shooter, he was harrased (by someone of a lower rank yet!!) etc and want to treat it as a criminal-freaking-case! How do they even manage to refer to 9--11? The jihadists on those planes sure weren't choir boys.

Military court.......military justice, for muslim extremist terrorist.
