He's just passing it off to the next president, next year.
The "one term wonder" is too busy planning his next vacation to worry about something as trivial as this pipeline, and the benifits from it.
He doesnt care about jobs.
He just cares about how his, and Michelles books are selling.
They can retire very well off from the money they made on the Solyndra deal.

Seems Canada still has hope. They vowed to resubmit the proposal. Just a guess here, but I'm thinking the only thrill up the leg our Northern neighbors are feeling right now is from the arctic chill.

Six reasons, but the first is the best......

"The oil to be sent through Keystone XL pipeline was never destined for US markets. In its own presentation to investors about the proposed pipeline extension, TransCanada (the company behind Keystone XL) boasted that most if not all of the extracted and refined oil would be exported --- sold in oversees markets where oil fetches a higher price (and thus turns a higher profit for the company)."

I've seen the pictures of the recent oil spills from failed sections of some of these pipelines.

I don't think Sally typed that with her lips!

Your opinion, completely lacking of any credible source, doesn't carry nearly as much weight as your suspenders. Why don't you provide us proof that this oil will be used in the US and/or will lower the price of gas at the pump. If neither is the case, I could care less what those Canucks do with their oil.

Why have you seen Sally's lips? I would believe the opinion of the people at imakeamerica.com before I'd believe a progressive lesbian community organizer who's idea of gas is sniffing her significant others backside. There is no reason why that agreement can't stipulate what % of that oil must be used in the US. Bottom line is B.O. doesn't want to give in to these environmental terrorist that are against building the pipeline. So let's just keep buying our oil from the middle east? Great idea Bob...

Ouch!

Why is that you teabaggers keep dropping the Q-Bomb? I'm not you or Rick Santorum. I'm not afraid that I'll burst into flames if I get within a few feet of any member of the GLBT community like you whacked out bible thumpers fear.

It shall be interesting to see how this pans out. It seems that those that support his rejection give reasonable concerns that need to be addressed. It sounds like Obama wants to delay approving until after the election.

This sounds like a political chess game in the works with lots of drama.

Good Day,

Indeed... a political game. I would almost be willing to bet that someone in the WH or in the campaign apparatus is planning this. For now it may be to appease the far left environmentalists. However, if his poll numbers are percieved as too low approaching the election suddenly the pipeline will become part of his "Do it now..." rhetoric. Because afterall we need the jobs and oil therefore trying to come off as a hero to the people.

Everything he does and has done is directly related to the election. He does NOTHING if it will impact him getting elected. He was elected 3+ years ago to run this country and all he has done is run for re-election. I truly believe he doesn't care one whit about this country or it's citizens. It's all about the power that comes with the playing of "Hail to the Chief". He is a shallow, angry, man who will be even angrier if he is not re-elected.

Why are you conservatives so stupid? This isn't a political game. Nebraska opted out of the agreement after they didn't approve of the pipline's path. It was to go through a sensative area near a water source, and we know those pipes never rupture *wink-wink*. Without Nebraska's approval Obama had no choice but to delay the process, either that or piss on the people of Nebraska. If you want something to express your faux Fox anger over why not direct it at the great citizens of Nebraska?

You people boarder on being retarded, you really, really do.

You're wrong this has nothing to do with the environmentalists. You see in other parts of the country water is considered an extremely important commodity. Not every one is fortunate to live within 100 miles from the largest reserve of surface freshwater on the planet and what little they have is and should be protected. Unless you just want to let them build the pipeline directly through an underground aquifer and if it fails have no problem helping the people of the plains build another pipeline. A pipeline from Lake Michigan to Omaha.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Gemini

Do a little lateral thinking today and it will work wonders. Don't feel hidebound because you're supposed to do things in a certain way, because this is a great opportunity to try a different approach for a change. Even so, you may have to play down your unorthodox technique when talking to anyone who sticks rigidly to convention.
