Dave you make a good point and I do not totally disagree with you but from what I gather from this story these boys are teenagers. I was not there but If I had been there my first response would have been to try and help. If someone like me had done that, the situation could have turne d into a fight very easily and then the tables would have turned on the person who was only trying to help. The news story would have read something like this "LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT ON A MINOR". Then all of a sudden these so called teenagers would become the victims. While the person who was only trying to help has a bogus charge on his record that will haunt him the rest of his life. Do you have enough faith in our leagal system that it would work it self out and that everything would be ok, I sure dont.

i go to school with these kids...i'm happy they got into some trouble...they had it coming and they deserve it 110%

Just cause a few kids get in a fight and steal a wallet were criminals; and were going no where in life? I wish i had your parents then when i was kid, not. Yes, the kids that did that did a crime, and I believe they will regret doing so, my oldest brother did a crime where he damaged private property and spent some time in jail, but now he has straightened out and got his g.e.d. and is now starting a family, with a good paying job and his life in the right track.

So everyone saying that these kids don't have a future are the people that have no hope for humanity *in my opinion* Because everyone can change their life for the better. Just because they did a crime does not mean that is the only thing they are going to do for the rest of their life. Yes some do, but others grow up, and decide its not what they want to do.

So people saying these kids should die, or they have no future, or they are scum... I think you are classified as being the same thing because you cant see anything positive in anything. So stfu and gtfo of the forums :D

i think what happend in grand haven was messed up but i know one of the boys better then anyone else and i know that if he wouldnt have been so intoxicated and lead in the wrong direction by some certain friends (not saying he didnt make the desicion to do what he did, no one can make you do anything) but i know he would have never did what he did. he did his time hes a good person and he deff. knows he made a mistake he feels terrible for what happend and i love him no matter what happens or what people think. he knows it was a dumb decision he doesnt belong in jail. so for all you people judging him DONT you dont know him. how would you like to be judged...you wouldnt do STOP what is it doing? nothing but causing problems..so just stay out of it. and for all you fuckers in school talkin shit about the 4 kids FUCK you too. and brad your gay and you where short shorts no one likes you go cry about it [:
