Why on gods green earth would you want to name your team after a bunch of whining sissies who can't make up their minds? Just change the name already. You could call them the fairy princesses and it would sound tougher

Did the council change after the last election? If it didn't, why would their position on the matter change from a few months ago?

Paaaalease!!! I don't think that you could be more proud than to be a FIGHTING SIOUX! I am part American Indian and I don't understand why that is seen in any way as disrespectful. Now, REDSKINS I see as disrespectful. BRAVES is another very proud name. Get over it people---ALL of you!

You may want to check your history Henriette. More Sioux died at the hands of other tribes than by any white people.

Hey, these are the same people who went around the country getting "Warriors" banned as a team name. What does THAT tell you where they're coming from?

Unless the NCAA bans ALL native American names (ie FSU Seminoles)they should leave well enough alone. And unless our own University of Minnesota also refuse to play them in hockey, along with the other sports, they should keep their hypocritical noses out of the issue

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
