This would be included with health coverage next August. This will not impact employees who work for the Church; only other Church owned businesses in the private sector (some of those employees are not Catholic).

Most women (98% was reported) use the pill. Would be able to get help with the bill.

Keep in mind, if you are a Catholic, you don't have to use the benefit.

Sounds Awesome! It will help many that take advantage of the option, however many that should take advantage of it will not. They will still be spitting out illegitimate babies right and left, with our tax payer money supporting them. Need to put them in the drinking water.

Maybe this is the first step in meaningful "Welfare Fraud Reform".
If you cannot take care of the first child, then it will be placed in foster care. Parents' will have to work to pay child support to the foster care system (they should be taking care of their children). Any future children will not be allowed to go home with parents not able to support that child.

Its one thing to need a helping hand. A cat of a different color is to make it "a way of life". No one is in favor of this. God would not be! That's the religious discussion we should be having.

No one is after good people who fall on hard times. Most people need a helping hand from time to time. If regulated efficiently, the welfare system will be there when needed. Cannot continue the way it is going now.

That it should be MANDATORY to take birth control. ESPECIALLY if you are catholic because those ignorant and hypocritical people should definately NOT reproduce. The catholic religion FOR MOST PEOPLE is just a SHOW. They are taking birth control anyway! Cheating on their spouses. If the catholic church worked, as in if they practiced what they preached the daddies would support their children and the mommies would want to spend any off time they had with their children instead of partying and in the bars. If it weren't such a show just for looks and they wouldn't be so fake and hypocritical in their everyday lives they would raise their children in the proper environment and they wouldn't be having sex out of wedlock and commiting adultery and such and would support their families. It is only certain types of people who should not reproduce. My whole point is if they practiced ALL of their chosen religion, then birth control would not ever be an issue. Ever! Much less who has to pay for it.

Can't understand all of this commotion over birth control pills in 2012. The bible was written centuries ago, long before BCP.

99% of women of child bearing age use some kind of birth control (most common - the pill).

If the Catholic Church truly feels " Gov't cannot tell them to provide birth control pills", then why did they hire non-Catholic people.(Keep in mind Catholics, according to these men in dresses, don't buy birth control pills.) This would be a non issue if the Catholics followed their religion instead of creating a cafeteria type belief system (pick and choose rules you will follow).

What a joke! Employees (both Catholic and not) use their paychecks to buy these pills. This is America, their choice. If they do not want to use the pills because of religious reasons, then they don't have to. The priests are trying to make it sound like the Gov't is "MAKING" these women buy/use birth control pills.

Sounds kinda like "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL" or we will have to throw you under the bus. Really?

The Catholic Church does not want Gov't interferring in their business, but they have taken to the airways for polictical reasons instead of preaching what the bible says to the church congregation (appropriate place for their views). If the Catholics were in Church, then they would hear the message. Again, what a joke!
