My fiance and i have frequented the rails to trails route on our bikes. Through the Granby route, there's an old run down church with a house that doesn't really look livable. Does anyone know the history of this site? That house looks really run down, and it bothers me that people actually live in it.

The house and church are of not of business, the conditions that they are in are because of the cost of the law suits to stop the state from illegally seizing their land. The land which is the right of way of the rail road was to be returned to the land owner when the rail road stopped operations. Now their land is divided with strangers and trespassers on the right of way and wondering off it, leaving their trash and waste from their dogs. This how evil the state treats land owners.

Perhaps you couldn't quite understand what the person in the last post said... The place is in such disrepair because the folks that own it have had to spend every last dollar they have fighting to keep the place that should have been returned to them after the rail line closed. If you are concerned about the livability of the place, maybe you should swing by and offer them some help putting it back together. Meanwhile, let them live as peacefully as possible with all the wide eyed "naturalists" and disgusting dogs running through their property.
