Shooting in/around Graham?

I've heard there was a shooting but I've been unable to reach family members who live in the area.

Anyone know what happened? I heard that someone died, but they didn't know any other information.

My condolences to the family if someone indeed passed.

yea there was a shooting but i dont know many details.just regular rumor mill as usual.think a cop and a man were shot.

Yep a fine police officer was shot in the line of duty. He will live and hopefully go back to what he loves and serve and protect. You can always tell a loser because when they see the Police coming they immediately think negative. They fail to realize the risk the men and women take. I thank them. Some cops dont do their job and abbuse their authority but you generaly only find that in the new ones and young guys. James is a good cop. Thank you police officers for protecting our community and risking your lives and dealing with cowards and wanna be bangers who think a gun makes them a man.

I heard the dope smokin skanks of the town held a memorial service for the loser on the memorial wall at the young county courthouse. That wall is there for HEROES!!!!! NOT LOSERS WHO GET STONED AND SHOOT AT POLICE OFFICERS!!!!! hope it is just a rumor and not the sick truth

There was a memorial held at the 'wall'.Some rumors started floating around after that ,almost every rumor told was a blown out of proportion LIE..James Putman is a darn good guy ,a good cop and a family man.Why he risked his life for a community that does not appreciate their Law Enforcement is beyond me.The local news paper there had the story about the shooting.http://www.grahamlead er.com/,there is a search engine on their site just type in a keyword .

If only more people in and around Graham would step up and support the local city p/d and the sheriffs department ,Graham would one day be the 'nice' safe community it once was.People fail to realize that Grahams and Young counties law enforcement work for very small salaries.Crime is at an all time high in Young county,in the city it's worse and it all links back to drugs !!People blame the cops when the perpetrators get back on the streets,blame our states laws and bondsmen.Several have done so many break-ins and they are still on the streets,BONDED out ,plea bargains ,snitching and rolling on their 'friends'and a hundred bucks to a bondsman puts them right back on the streets !Don't take me wrong ,theres a few cops I wouldn't mind handing a pink slip to and booting out the door ,but they are few and rare.BTW theres going to be a fund raiser for the cop,I saw flyers all over Graham.October 24th down on the square .And you can bet there will be gossip over that ,spred by narrow minded crooks and dopers who hate anything good to happen in that town.

Officer Putnam was shot three times I heard,one bullet his his badge dead center .The shooter was killed AFTER he had already been told to drop the gun and he fired on the Officer.People forget there are VIDEO cams in the police cars!Also heard the TX Rangers have the videos.A person would think the family of the woman that the shooter held the gun to her head would be THANKING a cop for her life being spared and not adding more rumors to the rumor mill!A tragedy took place that day and has and will effect people on both sides of the incident for a very long time.Mainly the small child who was seen according to witness's in the back seat of the car while that guy held a gun to the childs mothers head !!

The preliminary autopsy results for 17-year-old Anthony Gunderson show the Graham teenager died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
The autopsy results released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office show Gunderson was hit multiple times by bullets fired from “long range.”
What do they mean by this?
Did they think the cop would actually get "close up" and fire?

It's all a coverup. I know.

This was a set up for that kid.I feel sorry for kid.He's dead!!

WhAt gives you the right to determine what that wall is used for?? That kid is only a loser as you say because no one cared enough for a 17 year old CHILD to report his living situation I hear the cops are aware of his lifestyle why didn't they try to help him instead theyshot him!!!!!!!
Way to officers, what a way to protect and serve!!! Do you not have taserguns? I as a citizen would love a honest report on what happened, why an officer is injured, and why a child died ! Why was Tony shot multiple times from a long distance?

What makes you think it was a "set-up" and just what do you mean by set-up ?Are you trying to say the cop planned the shooting or there's some sort of cover-up? Bet the Rangers would like to have a chat with you since you have first hand info on this 'set-up'.

Hate to tell you ,but changing Gunderson's 'lifestyle' was not the responsibility of the cops !The young man chose to live the way he did,HE chose his circle of friends ,HE chose to shoot at a cop.And YOU KNOW it.As for being shot from a distance,doesn't that squash the rumor that the cop supposedly walked over and shot the young man after the kid was down?Why don't you rumor mongers get your stories straight to begin with !You live in Graham,and IF you are who I think you are YOU wear a uniform also and are related to his g/f ,but if you aren't the person I think you are then I aplogize.Why are you trying to add fuel to the fire of lies ?The boy had issues yes,but it was the obligation of HIS friends,family and peers to get him help not a police officers !Get real and I hope you never need to call a cop for any reason ,because If I was a cop I'd tell you to take care of your own damn problems ,but cops can't do that they HAVE to answer the calls.Damn dude get real and IF you were there you need to contact the rangers and tell THEM your story.Then they can compare your story to the videos !
