We have lost the VOICE! When I first heard the Voice, I wondered who it was. Back then he was just a voice to me. Later I met Vern and what an interesting person he was. Well now that he is gone the CMA and all the other do gooders can honor him like they did Conway, after he was gone. What a shame Nashville , for not knowing what a treasure you had in Vern Gosdin. He NEVER got the credit he deserved as an artist. Instead, today, the radio stations aren't allowed to play the greats. Perhaps the likes of Rascal Flatts should have driven around with the whole band, all of the equipment, in a station wagon, and then to play the gig for a few hundred dollars, just to drive a thousand miles to the next show, for a few more hundred. I will miss Vern Gosdin getting the accolades he so deserved, but I have all of his music, and I am sorry for the people who did not HEAR the VOICE.
