I see little kids in cars all the time with no seat belts on or car seats in cars. I have 4 children and it is a pain to have to buy 4 car seats and then enforce that they are being used. People need to stop being so lazy.

My sincerest condolences to the family of this little girl. If only her parent had taken the time to ensure the children wore safety belts. There is no way to guarantee that the outcome would have been different if they had been wearing seatbelts, but the use of those belts might have given the little girl a chance at survival.

There are so many things that can harm our kids. Shouldn't we take every precaution we can to keep them safe?

Again, my condolences.

This is so sad, my condolences to the family and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

Rule in any vehicle I'm in.... this car does NOT move until everyone is buckled in.

Have to agree 100% with last word.Perhaps felony charges might wake people up to the unnecessary deaths of children when a seabelt can prevent these tragedies.

rule in my car is to buckle up. everyone.

if someone is not buckled, i stop the car until they do. i don't care how much whining i hear - THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE UNTIL ALL ARE BUCKLED.

and this story is exactly why.

one of my best friend's 14 year old was killed two years ago in colorado - ejected because no seat belt.

ITS SERIOUS - BUCKLE YOUR CHILDREN UP!!!!!!!

also, we were among the first on the scene of the accident south of los lunas last month when that 2 year old girl was killed. ejected.

my daughter gave her balnket that her grandma made her to cover the baby, lying in the mud, in the median, in the rain, with her head gashed open.

do parents think this is a joke???

"Unfortunately after we make sure everyone is buckled, some get uncomfortable,especially during long trips & seatbelts get unbuckled,with out driver knowing! I know, my teenage son tends to do that, throughout the trip, I'll ask him,"And your still buckled right?!!
