Coming soon: Pride events planned for June 26 to 28

Good...right after this, the City should sponsor a Straight Pride Day of events for all us normal people.

Why is this being held in a public park - these people have the where with all to rent some place like every other group that wants to promote a sexual lifestyle would have to. What's next, a "Swinger's Pride Day"? Or maybe a "Polygamy Pride Day"?

I'm currently working on plans to have a day of pride for people who don't have sex with anyone - Sexless Pride Day. Instead of a bake-off we're going to make sno-cones, ice creams, and other frozen goodies to chill you from the inside out!

All right then, that's a start. I take it the parade of frigidity will be primarily female?

Seriously, I just can't be truly supportive of "gay pride" anything - and it's not because I'm anti-gay. I don't give a flying flip what anyone does in the privacies of intimate relationships. None of my business, not my concern. But having a parade to flaunt who you're fornicating with? Yawn.

To those of us who have no problem with homosexuality, the pride parades and such seem almost overkill. Drama where there doesn't need to be any. Those who are against homosexuality probably view the parades and events as ridiculous, not to mention being a catalyst for furthering their ignorant hatred.
