Katv Abc 7 News - Body Found Near Dumas

I'm just a little bit freaked because if what we are hearing is true they found that girl about two miles from my house. Being the mother of a teenage girl myself I will not feel safe until they catch who ever did this. Did they really find her at the rock crossing?

I do not live in scott arkansas I live between backgate and watson near 277.

I have only this morning read in an email (from a forensic psychologist/criminal profiler about Casey's having been missing for the last week, as I live in northern California and this situation was unknown to me untill today. It's a terrible shame and tragedy that such things as this happen, as well as being quite sobering about the world we live in today. With that, I would like to suggest that the offender responsible for her rape and murder is a local man. That her murder was sexually motivated and she will show evidence of having been bound or some form of restraint used. She will have evidence of truama to her face/head. Both vaginal as well as rectal sexual assault will be noted. That the method of death will be strangulation.
Look for someone who travels this road to go fishing along the Arkansas River/Pendletoin bridge area.
The offender will be a single mature white male.
type of vehicle would be an older model truck, dark in color.
There will most likely be animal hairs found on victim's body as well. Most probably dog.

I do not know the circumstances of the woman's body said to have been found in the search area, but I would suggest also that this would be Casey's. The area was within the parameter of the area I'd expect her to be found (within 8-miles from her vehicle location)

The dump area/victim will show evidence of the offender being a disorganized-type, without any planning. That this crime was a crime of opportunity. That her body would have been buried in a shallow grave in order for him to conceal his act. That her being at that location whereby she and her abductor interact, suggests he is a local man who was either going to work (on Sunday) or more likely, going to the river.

yes he is a local man. But his truck is not dark. it is a newer model white truck. he has been found. he didn't bury her he trew her out like trash. he should be hung. He also has children around the same age as casey. Also rumor suggest that he thought about what he was going to do before he did it.

Thank You very kindly for the information you had provided. I am very sorry that this happened to this young lady. I didn't express this in my earlier post as it's best not to form an emotional attachemnet to the situation, to the victim, untill more can be learned. I have been involved in criminal investigative analysis and comparative crime scene analysis/profiling for two decades.(As an amateur and a writer only) This is why I decided to add my comments here in a localized area.

From looking at her pictures, Casey had such wonderful and caring eyes. It's a terrible shame someone had to take her from her family and friends, from all of us.

In my very brief and partial assessment of the case particulars, I see I was inaccurate in a few aspects. I did feel this would be a local man who travels the area. As opposed to a mobile-type serial offender, one traveling through the state. The chronologics as well as location of the victim supports that hypothesis. The fact that a truck was involved in the situation is not suprising as this is statistically supported when considering the demographics of the locale.
As far as sexual motivation? That's almost always the case when taking into account her gender, age, and the location and circumstances of the interaction between her and her killer. The location where her body was recovered was not suprising either when you take into consideration that the act, the crime, was done in haste. I would have expected him to attempt to conceal his crime by at least attempting to cover her body in a very shallow grave. You stated she was left like discarded garbage. That is something I will have to review closely.

Do you know if he was in fact a single male? You stated he had children the age of Casey. Was he divorced or atleast separated from his wife?

Again, thank you kindly for what you had contributed this far. I will be doing some research into her case as it devleops over time. This information will be part of a very large and concise database (SMART) that cross-references and analyzes such crimes across the country.

No he is a widower. His wife died of a heart problem in Nov. or Dec. of last year. I found out wed. that they did not arrest him and it really upset me because I know this man. Not as a friend mind you but he did live a few miles from me until April. I also found out that his daugther got married within the last two months. Could this along with his wife dying have anything to do with what he did? I think it does but what do I know?

I posted a somewhat lenghthly messahe to you this morning, but apparently, someone must believe my statements to be too provocative, and will not post them any longer. That's par for the course of course. But I wanted to tell you that you are very insightful. Yes. I do believe this man's recent delemma of loosing his wife to disease and his daughter to a husband would be very indicative of his recent behavioral changes. Hi I live in Pine Bluff, my oldest son attended school with Casey and played baseball with one of her brothers. There are alot of rumors going on at Watson Chapel High School. I have told my son not to get involved with the rumor mill. Do you know if this man you speak of killed her? I heard it may have been her boy friends brother. Please advise.

I hate to put things up that I've simply been told, but what I've heard has come from reliable sources and make my stomach and heart ache. I am originally from Pine Bluff, so...
I just can't make myself put his name up here, sorry guys...for the simple fact that it may not all be true....but for those of you who live close and have young children, his initials are K.O. Last I heard they had not arrested him, but I'm sure they are keeping a close eye on him. From my understanding this poor baby really went through a lot more than anyone knows yet, and if they think that he did it, they won't let him get too far. It isn't a subject to be taken lightly for any of us. The family is dying inside, so we hurt them by discussing it, but at the same time, it's so scary for us to think "it could have been me or mine". I can't believe they have managed to keep so much information out of the news, to be honest. God bless this family...and those of you who are close ~ please be safe.

This sort of thing always generates many such.

It will sometimes seem as if an investigation's momentum is without much force, or that LE does not appear to have enough information (as observed in the recent article about a number of other vehicles being taken a look at by the investigation) This is basic protocol to insure anything and everything is done correctly.
I'm certain that LE is aware of what the situation is and is working behind the scenes to insure that all avenues are covered. Though it's very true that discussion about Casey's murder is traumatic and disturbing to the family members, it is only natural that the pubilc would find it necessary to want to talk about it. After all, it not only effected Casey's family on an intimate level, it effected the citizens who live in her town, who also have children who could have just as well become a victim of such a horrible crime. It's good for the local people to discuss this issue as well as their right to do so here. Censorship is not the answer. But perpetuating rumor is not the answer either. This case should be discussed in an analytical and sensible way. And concern for the family, for Casey, should be the upmost consideration.

I for one don't like the rumors either. I have a teenage daughter and I worry all the time. My daughter couldn't believe what she heard, but she realizes it isn't always safe out in todays world.
I have been trying to get the correct information? a It is terrifying to hear what really happened.

How did you know Casey was strangled and dog hair would be found on her body and in the killer's truck?
You said he was a local man, a mature man who drove a truck and that he bound her too.
Do you really think she was raped? The police didnt charge him with rape.

I felt maybe you were asking me why I felt this was the case as you might have some concern about my being so certain about what had happened to her, that I might be involved? I hope this was not your concern?. As you can see, authorities have only recently arrested the man responsible for her murder.
I am merely a true-crime writer and amateur profiler, nothing more. I felt her particular case warranted such an assessment, that's all.
When dealing with countless cases over the years, you get a good feel for the potential of an offender after taking note of what transpired between the victim and the killer as well as what he has left for us at the crime scene.

Yes. I absolutely do feel this was the primary motivation of the offender here.

Unfortunately though, Casey's physical condition when discovered six-days after her murder, as well as exposure to environmental elements and scavengers of all sorts, there may not be sufficient biological evidence remaining that can be sampled to determine this? But then again, it's still possible too, that the degree of decomposition from warm weather and humidity, did not take it's toll.

Well apparently the police had enough evidence against him to make an arrest. The DNA will prove weather or not he killed Casey.

It is our business, since I for one have children. Casey Crowder attended school with two of my children. I have a 12 year old daughter, a 15 year old son and an 8 year old son. So getting child killer's off the streets IS OUR BUSINESS.

The facts as of now are, your uncle has been arrested for the murder and kidnapping of Casey Crowder. THAT IS A FACT. I am sorry for the embarassment your family feels but I am truly sorry that the Crowder family is in hell over the murder of their daughter.
