Has anyone been having problems with the Canyon Trails HOA? Specifically, the "selective" application of the rules governing the community. In plain English, I have been having a problem for quite some time, it involves the "parking policy". Twice this year I have received a nastygram telling me that my account was assessed $50 for cars parked in front of my house, and both times the car belonged to my neighbor, the same car both times. If that car was not parked in front of my house, it was parked in front of my neigbor's house. It has now been parked in front of my neighbor's house and has not been moved for a month straight, as if it was abandoned. I know they are not going to just keep paying the fine, if they have been fined at all. I accidentally left my car in front of my house twice over the summer, and the HOA sent me a nastygram warning me that they would assess my account $50 if it happened again. They assured me that they do not apply the rules selectively, that they don't show "favoritism" to anybody, but that little red dented up chevy cavalier that belongs to my neighbor's son still sits in front of their house.
