Price of cigarettes

I will be visiting there soon and want tom know what the price of cigarettes are there. Here, Marlboro's are about $5.00 a pack . Would I be better off just bring a carton from her or buying them there?

Cigarettes here are $7.69 per pack of Marlboro.

Lets put a five dollar per pack tax on smokes to help pay for inmate labor to go around and pick up butts and packs that smokin' toads throw down on our streets.

And with that change plus $5 you can smoke anywhere NOW. Light up and enjoy. The only non-smoking casino shut down because of NO business. All other casinos allow smoking. So smoke on!!!

The high taxes on cigarettes, and the smoking bans, are the same thing as Sharia law, what is next, a ban on alcohol and pork? I refuse to live under Sharia law. This is the United States, it is not Saudi Arabia.

And for the smokers in New York who are paying 13 dollars for a pack of cigarettes, I would buy cigarettes underground and New York would not receive a penny in taxes from the cigarettes I buy. Just like with alcohol and prohibition, cigarette sales will go underground.

Americans are rebels and we love our freedom, we would NEVER live under Sharia law, mess with our freedom and we will defy you. I guarantee it.

Once upon a time Americans RIOTED over a tax on whiskey, we need to grow our balls back.

In the beginning of our history the government of the United States was funded by tariffs on imports, because Americans refused to pay taxes. Tariffs on imports were the largest source of federal revenue from the 1790s to the eve of World War I.

And just imagine how quickly the economy in the USA would improve if we lowered taxes for Americans and raised tariffs on imports!

Also of note, is that the people of Roseto, Pennsylvania, smoked and drank wine freely, but they were healthier and had few heart attacks than the rest of the population, and they had ZERO crime and ZERO people on welfare. Here is a link for a Topix discussion about the Roseto Effect...

Roll your own. Anybody do that? Pipe tobacco comes in several varieties, used to anyway. Custom roll your own flavor.

Well, I have finally returned from my Las Vegas vacation! I had a blast! I did find cigarettes for 3.35 per pack at a gas station near the stratosphere.

Are you 100% sure of what you bought? A news special a while back showed the conterfeit cigs vs. the real thing and the computer copied packages are so close it take a expert to see the differences. The cigs inside are identical in looks but the tobacco contains residue from chemicals to rush the harvest and chemicals like formaldehyde to keep mildew and mold down. The are sold through the foreign owned gas stations where the owners have both real and fake and they can read a customer whether to deal out the real thing or not... They make $$$$$$. The tax people get nothing.The customer gets poisoned...... Fire up (hack,hack) and enjoy your(cough) savings(wheeeeeze)!
