Hendersonville woman awakes to burglar

A Hendersonville woman awoke Wednesday morning to a man burglarizing her apartment.

The man broke into her home on Center Point Road around 4:25 a.m., waking the resident up. He fled, but was quickly caught by police.

Hendersonville Police arrested Michael McKissack, 20, whom they say tried to break into at least three apartments in the area and was found with a stolen iPod. He was charged with three counts of aggravated burglary, simple assault, theft under $500 and vandalism under $500.

former Hunters Lane student, thought he would come steal from some hard working people and gets caught in the process. Thanks to all the people who called and reported and thanks to HPD (THE BEST POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE WORLD).

He would have never made it out of my house alive. He is lucky because most people here have guns and will use them. I hope he get's some time and maybe he will never do this again.

Get a gun and get your permit. A bullet to the head is a great deterrence.

Hunters Lane? Big surprise.

I'm sure if it was a former Beech student it would be tolerated?? Oh thats right they only do home invasions and rapes,gotcha. The police probably only found when they pulled him over for going 2 miles over the speed limit>

Well hell of the police caught a criminal that was going 2 over the speed limit great job. Last time I checked speeding is speeding tn is a zero tolerance state .

You missed the point but of course given your name I understand, must be a former Hunters Lane student.

Way to catch the criminals. I have noticed that most of the crime involves people from Davidson County.Is there anyway we can have border patrol to keep the garbage out of Hendersonville? Keep up the good work and the citizens will continue to use the tipline and keep our eyes open for any more criminals from Nashville. Thanks
