We got a phone call about 5:30 pm on a FRIDAY saying my mother in law has just been arrested for FAILURE to appear in a CIVIL complaint by CitiGroup. The kick is..she is FILING BANKRUPTCY.

She has now been processed..fingerprinted and photographed like a common criminal and there is NOTHING we can do until Monday morning.

She is almost 60 and has NEVER been to jail before in her life over ANYTHING. And now..she has been handcuffed and put in the back of a police car for a debt.

Here is the REAL kicker...her bail...$11,263.21....the EXACT amount of the judgment in CIVIL COURT.
