As past commander of American Legion Lorentz Post 11 Mankato MN I am appalled.
What are we teaching these children?? Dis-resepect for the flag.
How many of them have a mother or father serving or other realative?? Or how many have some one that has served already?
Next I suppose they will feel that it is alright to wear a cap,hat or dorag while the colors go by.
Where is the respect??
You did right in suspeding the young person for showing dis-respect.

Oh, please. You really think a 13 year old went out of his way to piss off a bunch of veterans? Get real. He's never stood up for the flag during his homeroom because he's usually doing his homework. You act like he is a troubled child, when realistically he is a lot better behaved than most in the Dilworth district. P.S. You sound like a racist, old fashioned man with your comment...dorag? really?!
