Looking at Pavey's past track record plus Rushville's reputation for electing incompetent mayors, we're not expecting much out of Pavey.
Oh well, there's always the next mayor's election in 2015 to look forward to. Maybe by then someone will decide to run that knows what they're doing.

For 2015 need to get somebody to run that was not born here and can do something about how this town looks.Somebody with vison,and somebody that was part of a town's growth some where other than Rushville .We need too change the lack luster effort that has been put forth in the past and and right now.

Mike Pavey will fix everything. He is a genius. He is so smart, the company he worked for canned him. I heard he is going to build a new amphitheater to drive economic development. This one will be bigger than any amphitheater in the midwest. Bigger than the one in Chicago. There is nothing that an amphitheater can't solve. If all the dumpy houses in Rushville would just build amphitheaters in their backyard, this town would get moving again.

We go from McCane, to Bostic, to Bridges, to Bostic, and now Pavey. Year after year, Rushville has gone downhill over the last 30 years. I see Rushville going downhill for the next four years also.

Pavey will TRY to bring change. He won't be one to set still. Look a low key 1st year in office follow by a very agressive 3 years. Question will be successful.

1st order of business --He has to get the budget under control & the community to support him.

All previous mayors tried to bring change. They all failed with Rushville worse off after they left office than when they came into office.
I see Pavey following the same downward course.

In all instances Rushville has not improved. We need positive action and we need it now! We see in Pavey just another mayor out of the same failed cookie-cutter mold.
But what choice do we have now???
We're stuck with Pavey for another four long years.

Rushville is like that little dog stuck in the water, dog paddling trying to keep from going over Niagra Falls.
McCane, the Bostics, and Bridges all failed to save the little dog. And I'm afraid Pavey is in the same boat.

Why not give Mike a chance. He has not even taken office and he is already considered a failure. It is hard to judge someone before he has even been sworn in to be the next mayor.

There are some real idiots in this town but there are I HOPE some that aren't if Rushville keeps going like it's been going then we all will be in trouble. How about we quit whining like little babies and do something to help rather than try to beat down the ones in position to help us?
