FOX 6's Ted Perry Biography

Full story: Fox6

When I was 12 years old, my hometown newspaper held a contest for kids. The topic was simple: write in 250 words or less what you liked about living in Wilmette, Illinois.

HI Ted-
I wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you, since this flood. If you still live in Whitefish Bay, I know its been wow almost 10 years since the happy youngster days...Did your home get flooded too. I feel so bad for all you, it was so surreal when I saw the videos of the flood videos, and am thankful I do not live in Shorewood anymore. If you need any help please let me know I would be more than happy to lend a hand if its needed. Take Care

i dont understand why you use the ten o'clock news as a sounding piece for your opinions (teds take). isnt objectivity the goal of the news? i guess i just dont get it. also, i wholeheartedly believe that american idol is not newsworthy. this is my perspective.

Hi Ted,
I wanted to know what is going on with the City of Milwaukee. I Think it's a total disgrace that the Grass in the center of the city Streets are Never cut, Also, weeds and danderlions Just there.
It Make the City Look Absolutely Terrible. Then You go into city of Wauwatosa, and The grass is Beautiful. Ted What do You think is Going on? Some of the Streets will be Mill Rd from 92nd to 76th also Appleton Avenue.

Thank goodness for Obama! THANK GOODNESS FOR NATIONAL HEALTHCARE! I need to share these thoughts which are keeping me awake tonight. I have been unemployed since February, and although I pay for cobra insurance, I opted to not carry cobra dental. One might imagine the type of worry and fear a single mom has when you pay for insurance that you may or may not use, spending funds each month that might be needed elsewhere, but compound that with not knowing when your next steady paycheck will be, you can't risk paying out more than what you'd need to run a household with 3 kids. SO...my future being unsure, I applied and qualified for State of WI managed healthcare. This has been wonderful as a secondary insurance, but let's get back to dental needs of 3 kids. I have spent 2 months attempting to locate a dentist that will accept my family. The state offers NUMEROUS dentists, but when you call them, they are, "...not accepting new patients with 'state' insurance..." or "...haven't had openings for 'state' insurance for at least 2 yrs..." or my favorite, "...we need to wait til some "state' insured stop coming to us." Call me crazy, but had I had any other dental insurance, then they COULD help me? I finally found a dentist today! My appointment is January 18, 2011. This was the only choice in all of Racine, Kenosha AND Milwaukee counties! Why do I say thank goodness for President Obama? Because the national health insurance program will obliterate this discrimination and lower costs for all. How many times have you gotten your insurance statement and you see an insane billing charge and then the insurance payment, and then the "adjustment"? Hospitals, doctors, dentists overcharge insane amounts, knowing that insurance will pay a portion, and then they write-off ("adjustment") the rest and patients have their copay or deductible. STATE INSURANCE communicates, up-front to the providers, what they will pay for a service, and doctors and hospitals know they won't get as large a payment and ultimately have to write-off the difference. So, they opt not to cover 'state' insured. I get so aggrivated with Obama opposition. He will make all hospitals HAVE to accept all patients. Charges will become much more reasonable. If an establishment knows that they will receive a certain amount of reimbursement, then that's that. Why charge more? Obama will make sure that no one is left out! I don't mean just the unemployed, but how about small businesses that cannot afford a large healthcare plan to their staff which might include certain specialists, or maybe they are subject to an insane deductible that disuades an employee from even seeking needed healthcare. Even with private insurance, some cannot afford the care they need or desire. Thank you Obama for being radical enough to say that you know this is going to be a challenge, but all will benefit, and you are going to help our country establish this. And for those that say you pay good money for your insurance and you deserve the good benefits...well I paid an average of $24K a year for family coverage for YEARS, and there were still circumstances in which healthcare my family needed "wasn't covered" or "exceeded amount allowed per year" or "is pre-exsisting" thus cannot be covered under my health insurance. Obama is going to ensure that if a medical practice wants Medicare payments, government grants, or whatever, that in turn, they will provide care to all, at lower costs, with no prior authorization, no matter one's income, age, pre-existing conditions, race, genetic predisposition, physician preference, yadda-yadda. Okay, can you tell I got into an Obama debate today? If you read my post and you have a comment that you'd like to share, please do. This topic is not about Democrats vs. Republicans. My comments are to encourage everyone to think about what one man is attempting to do for all of us, to unite our nation and make us stronger. Okay! I'll be quiet. Thank you, and goodnight.
