The home was owned by an elderly widow. The items lost were the momentos of her life and her furnishings. Sorry if that does not match what you experience in San Francisco, we lead real lives here.

Everyone calm the heck down. Don't you have your own issues? Let people deal with thier own without someone who knows nothing about thier situation ranting and raving.

Yeah that comment was a cheap shot. It happens once in a while. Apologies. Pretty shocking flaming responses though, huh folks? Gee wiz. Lotta anger out on the Topix boards now-a-days.

FYI I don't live in S.F. The initial report was incomplete so who knew? The drug culture in Lake County is a documented reality. The negative opinion is more out of frustration. Apologies again for the uncalled for cheap shot comment. Movin' on...

Seriously? Namecalling is so "fifth grade" dude/dudette. What do you want in reply? "I know you are, but what am I?" Well, I'm not falling for it. Lake County has the reputation of being the "meth capital of CA". Deal with it, or live in denial - your choice.

Thank you - the most cogent comment yet. I hope she had enough insurance and is able to recover from her loss, assuming what you say is true about the fire and it's victim. I don't live in S.F. but I'm pretty sure that the residents of The City lead real lives too.

Cool as a cucumber. I completely agree. The unnecessary rant was brief, and I take it all back. Apologies, like I said before. Movin' on.

And, is your online name misspelling of "un-Americian" for "un-AmeriCAN" intentional, or does it just look better that way maybe? Hummmm...Don't get that one... Any-who, keep the funnies coming. Ftb Needs to get a life and have a little more compassion and less ignorance. Btw, Sf, Sacramento, and Rio Vista have meth labs ..not all lake county residences are not crack heads.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Capricorn

Self deception will be the main issue today. You may be judging your situation wrongly: don't hold back, say what you think diplomatically and without being hurtful. This should result in a positive mental outlook for you. Competitive sports activity will ease any stress or tension.
