I can only guess to the amount of illegal fireworks I was fortunate enough to watch this year. Take away the safe and sane forces residents to shop out of county, yet we still get to see them here. I watched two CHPs watch as several neighbors lighted up a dazzling display of fireworks... and leave shortly after the fireworks were done.
The best fireworks are in Washington, Nevada and Wyoming... for those who want to do a road trip!

isnt it amazing how many illegal fireworks were being lit-off after the fireworks show, bring back the legal ones, we were alot safer with them then all the illegal ones i saw this year

I can't believe the amount of fireworks that were going on after the show. I took a drive down Lakeshore Blvd in Lakeport and saw ones shooting off into the lake, personal properties letting them off in their driveways etc. Have to admit, I even stopped to watch some. Every house I stopped to watch, people were all being so safe. Had hoses out, not being reckless etc.. I say BRING THEM BACK!!! Banned or not, can't take the fun out of the 4th of July!!

those are tiny illegal fireworks, i cant believe they wasted time getting a bomb specialist, way to see our tax dollars at work, but, either way, i made at least double the money i did last year selling fireworks, so i cant complain too much

I was in charge of reservations for a campsite this year, and although it still filled up, at least 3 families cancelled their reservations due to the fact that Lakeport no longer allows the use/sale of safe and sane fireworks and asked me if I knew of any towns nearby that do allow it. Unfortunatly I didn't and if I had, I would have gone there too, the safe and sane fireworks are what they say on the box, "safe and sane" and it has become a family tradition. So, if anybody knows where they still allow it please tell me, because next year that is where our family will be going
