The voters have spoken- I am curious to see what people have to say that do not live or travel on 79 in Heath. This had gotten such media attention.
Surely it would be nice to see some comments, if you are for or against cameras in any community.

I hope I never hear someone from Heath complain that the cop who pulled them over for running a red light should be "out catching real criminals". Guess what, no traffic cameras = cops do more traffic and less "real" crime.

If I ever get a ticket either from an officer or if I get one by being caught by a red light camera I would pay it.
If you break the law, you have to pay.
I always watch my speed.
Let's just hope your bet of someone getting killed does not come true.

good point but the real matter is you obey the law no use for them and we know not every one will do that and the money they spend to buy and maintain them could go to the hiring of more cops ???

Just wondering how much money the camera makers get from each photo enforced ticket... I also heard a rumor that they set the length of time for the yellow lights a bit shorter... Any truth to this?

If only the law breakers wanted the cameras down, then the majority of the people in this area of Licking county are law breakers, keep in mind, I do not live anywhere near Heath, and its been years sine I have been in the area, so in my opinion, if the majority is speeding through this area then perhaps the speed limit is too low, novel concept. Granted running red lights is another issue all together, there is no good reason for running a properly timed red light, however yes I have hear that the companys that install the red light cameras require less then a 3 secound yellow light time, which I have heard of studys that found anything under 5 secounds is unsafe, feel free to correct me with proof if I am wrong. I have been watching this issue, and I love reading the comments and debates, this is the first time I have submitted my two cents worth, and I am really happy that residents of Heath managed to get your voice heard, and stood up the the money hungery nanny state. As for would I want cameras in my area, the answer is a F*** NO, I do not want a machine that can error, fail, and be riged to be nothing more then a money maker, safty is just the way they try to sell it to the masses, do you really believe any branch of our government, from federal to city, really cares about our well being, but thats just my opinion, feel free to have you own.

The way I see people fly down 79 and out of Heath, it's only a matter of time! God forbid it being the child of a person that voted to keep the cameras

I visited a friend in Scottsdale Arizona, and they have those things everywhere. I was sitting on the patio outside a bar and I kept seeing flashing lights. I thought that someone was taking pictures every few minutes. It turns out that it was the camera cop issuing what seemed like a hundred tickets.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aquarius

This is another day when financial matters cause trouble, as Mars reverses in your seventh house. What started off as a minor niggle with a partner or an opponent yesterday could now escalate into a full-blown row, but at least this will give you the chance to get certain things out into the open. Legal issues from the past may become ugly. If you're pointing the finger of blame at someone, don't get so heated that you accuse them of everything under the sun.
