I heard from a couple of people that they were going into their tennants apartments when nobody was home and saying they didn't. Both tennants that just moved out still are in the area and are well known....ask them and I am sure they will gladly tell you what the facts are.

I don't think that Cindy and Tony own The Pond her father does, she just runs it. Her father also owns the rentals, way more than just here in Lewis County, Watertown and Syracuse and in the City possibly. As to if they go in and go through peoples stuff, well if they do that can't be good and should be reported.

Cindy and Tony just manage the bar and apartments. They "do" enter the apartments when the tennants are not to home and without permission. Also the rent was to be with heat included but it was turned off and in the month of May we had some really cold nights and there was children in the house. Now her trick is to hold on to the deposit that was paid until she sees fit to return it. Rumor has it, she made the comment that she was going to find a couple of things so she could keep some of the security deposit and so far she has done so. If I was looking for a place to rent, it would NOT be from a place that she or Tony has anything to do with. The Pond is slowly being ruined as the neighborhood local hang out because of how she is toward the customers.

Wings aren't that bad but make sure and ask for the fresh ones. They have a tendency to leave them sit in the fridge for a few days and to me with chicken that is a definate NO NO...... I was told that by a person that worked there at one time.
When I pay rent and it states heat included it don't mean it should be shut off at any time of the year. Common sense is when it's 80 outside the heat don't need to be on but they were afraid it was going to be misused. If nothing else in this world I truly believe kids should be kept warm, well fed and a whole lot of love and taught manners!!!

Well then don't misuse the heat when it is 980 degrees outside. Sounds like to me they "forced" you out and you are upset about it. Always two sides to the story and it sounds to me that you were a bad tennate. Correct, perhaps?
Sorry, I own my home, I have never rented from anyone..........

Because of the written agreement THEY do have to provide you with heat and charge you the initial rent that you have been paying, fight for your right ,let them know you know your rights as a tenant, you should be fine.

Bottom line is, it's called GREED. If a person rents a place and if it's heat included, heat should be there and NOT turned off. If a deposit is paid, it should be returned in good faith when an apartment is inspected and there is NOTHING wrong. Money is tight for most people and to hold back money whether it's 400.00 or 1,000.00 is not right. I do believe if these tenants went to see a lawyer they could find out Cindy is in the wrong. We live in a small community, word travels fast, if I was Cindy and Tony and Cindy's father, I would think about what kind of reputation they are building up as far as managers of The Pond and managers of apartments.
Business has been ruined before because of bad reputations!!

Maybe your friend should call her father. Does he know this has happened? If he does I would be totally floored because he does not appear to be that way. His number is in the book under his wives name, if that helps any. I don't know why she should or would have to be GREEDY, daddy buys EVERYTHING for her. Then again MONEY is the root of all evil, they say!!

I would think "daddy" would be keeping up on what is going on with his businesses or rentals that he has. I know if I had money invested and having someone managing it for me I would be on top of what was going on. I have heard that when it comes to Cindy he has a blind eye. I have heard he has been approached before concerning her and her tactics at the bar. But maybe a phone call should be done before his only customers at the bar is Cindy and Tony!!
